My sister had the same problem. It was her dryer. The drum in the dryer was off balance and they had to get a new one. The clothes were getting snagged in a gap and had black streaks on them. She could not get the streaks out.
Ladies, I need your help.
I have been noticing that various pieces of recently laundered light colored clothes have black grease-like streaks on them. I haven't done anything different with my laundry and the washer and dryer both seem to be operating just fine. I sort my clothes by lights, darks, towels etc. Any ideas?

maybe not the same problem as mine but i just posted something similar a few weeks ago. run a old rag underneath teh bottom edge of the agitator(if it is top loading) our problem was the grease leaking because the washers transmission went out. our washer was older so we bought new one i dont know what to tell you how to fix it if it is what is wrong but it sounds just like what happened to us if you do get a new one IL appliance rebate program starts in April and you can get good money back on a washer

Check the inside of your dryer. I am still not sure how, but ours got some black stuff all over it at one point and I had to scrape it off - no more black streaks since then...
have any of the kids / husband left a marker, crayon or ink pen in the pocket? or maybe gum? check the inside of the dryer and see if anything seems to be smeared on it. good luck

This seems obvious but have you looked at the washer and dryer drums using a flashlight or some other good source of light. A possible cause is the debris from a crayon has melted to the drum.
Have you looked at the laundry before putting it in the dryer to determine which machine is the source?
You could run the washer thru a hot water cycle using a small amount of detergent but without clothes to clean the drum. I don't know if it's possible for oil to leak from the motor into the tub but I'd look at the water before it drains out to see if something is in the water.
You can wash the dryer drum with a wet cloth and detergent or a spray cleaner.
Something could be wrong with your washer. You might try an empty cycle with bleach to clean it out. Hopefully that helps, if not you might need to call a repairman or buy a new one.
