I got a portable DVD player for $50 bucks (complete with headphones and car charger), shirts for $4, jeans for $7, a White Sox jersey for $5, DVDs for $2, and a set of three suitcases for $30. Not bad. I pretty much finished my list and spent about $400 less then I thought I would. Plus I had fun.

I stayed home on Friday, but my daughter wanted to go to the mall on Saturday so she could prepare her letter to Santa. We arrived shortly after the mall opened, parking lot was empty and we parked right in front of the door. I found silverware, I thought it was just on sale and I had a coupon so at $40, I thought I was getting a good deal. Turned out it was a morning special and I only paid $30, and we waited in line less than 5 minutes. My daughter bought a book with a 40% off coupon that was good for both days.

Today I had to run to Target for a few necessity items. While I was there I got the ipod touch (since they can't put them on sale) that came with a $30 gift card. I paid for the ipod, then used the gift card to pay for the necessities so it was like getting them for free.

A special free shipping on-line for some items I was going to purchase.

A magazine subscription on line for 33% off their discounted price (not the newstand price).

The LED TV I purchased on Wed before Black Friday for the same price as the Black Friday price. The only thing I did not get was the reward points the store gave out on Friday, but I found out on Friday when I had to return for something else that they had sold out in 20 minutes. I would have had to be one of the first in line and who wants to wait in line that long BEFORE the store opens.
