Planning my daughters birthday in February. I was unable to reserve the venue I wanted, so now I'm desperately seeking a new spot. So far I've looked up the Children's Museum and the Houston Zoo ...has any on ever hosted at these locations? I'm open to other suggestion as well. Thanks

(she's turning 2)

I'm with the other moms....2 is still a wonderful time to do a house party. Once they get older...that option may be hard to do. Plus she's a girl...you could do a lot of nice things in your home without it getting destroyed!! Have a few little toy area stations....
But if you really really really want something else, why don't you check out Gymboree. I did it for my 3 year old boy...the kids had a blast. The place is clean( i did mine at post oak)....and the instructor takes care of the little ones as far as entertainment.
Good luck...and you're a good mommy trying to make your daughter's birthday a wonderful event.

2 year olds, don't need all that.
Not trying to be a party pooper... but at this age, kids still do 'parallel play" and are not real "group" oriented or organized that way.
Kids this age, will be amused with even just a home party.

Once they get older, then it is more worth the money... to have parties at 'venues.'

Also at this age, kids are still napping, they get overstimulated, parties should ideally be at non-nap times, and the parties are usually 2 hours.
