Hi Moms! My beautiful boys have birthdays this week and we decided on having a big birthday bash for them next month when money is in better supply. However, this weekend my husband and I along with our two boys are going to join the grandparents for some food and fun this Saturday. Does anyone have some good local suggestions where we can get some good food in a fun kid friendly environment? We're thinking of Luigi's in Aurora or (sigh) the ol standby, Chuck E Cheese. We're not wanting to go too far, so I'm thinking within 10-15 miles from me in Oswego. Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions!

I was disappointed with Luigi's. My daughter had a play cast party there, and I was really surprised at the very crowded bar. It seemed an odd combination. The patrons of the bar seemed to be regulars. I was suppose to drop her off there for several hours, but I was not comfortable with it.

We enjoy Luigi's because the eating area is separate from the kids fun area, thus, less noisy for the grown ups! Plus, you can get a beer if you want to!!!

We love going to the Brunswick on Ogden in Naperville. You can sign up online for their bowling coupons - usually 99 cents a game. They also have rides for the kids - bumper cars, merry go round, "roller coaster" type thing, swings, and something else - for $5 all-you-can-ride. They do have food, though I have never eaten there.

Have fun!

Have you ever been to Enchanted Castle? It's in a strip mall near Toys R Us by the Fox Valley mall. Similar to Chuck E Cheese, but I think they have a greater variety of food and some small rides also.
