What do you get for a 3 year old girl who has everything? Every book. Every toy. I would like her to enjoy a new gift and I'm stumped.

What can I do next?

Go back to basics...play dough, coloring books, crayons, safety scissors, glue sticks, a jump rope, bubbles, construction and scribble paper, so when she's "bored" with everything else she has she can stretch her imagination and creativity, like kids did before all the "have to have" toys came about.

Tickets to the local zoo, bounce house place, aquarium, etc... These are the kinds of things i am requesting for my children's bdays this year (girl turning 3 and boy turning 4 with bdays only 1 month apart). They have so much stuff i think tickets for experiences are going to be enjoyed far more than just another toy.

Take her out for a date. A play place, build-a-bear, McDonald's, apple picking, etc.

As a mom of a 3 and 4 yo boys, I love giving (and receiving) building toys that grow with the child...legos, bristle blocks, lincoln logs, tinker toys, etc.
You add little people, animals, etc. for lots of pretend play.
My boys also LOVE their marble runs and the 4yo is starting to try to construct his own....as long as she is past putting things in her mouth!
Hope this helps and good luck!

Her favourite snack/ candy?
A box of washable-ink felt-tip pens and a colouring book with her favourite character?
Does she enjoy dressing-up? A full costume, maybe?
And I bet she doesn't have her own personalized book. Here: http://www.frecklebox.com/personalized-books-for-kids-81c...
They're $19.95 each, and you can choose a book template that suits her level of reading.
Hope I helped :)

Is there some item or character that she is especially interested in? I found a book at a garage sale that had been special ordered for the little girl when she was little and it had her name in the whole story. This one was Sesame Street, but I am sure you can get other characters too. This would be personalized and she probably doesn't have one of those already. I hope anyway. GL!

Does she have the v-tech 3-in-1 electric guitar (keyboard/drums)? It's about $20 and available at Target. It's my go-to 3yr old bday present because my daughter loved it, as did all of her friends. Few of them already had it (and loved playing with hers), so it seemed to always be a great gift. Even at age 4 1/2, she still enjoys it. The thing holds up unbelievably well, too.

I love the idea of taking her someplace. Although a gift card might be lost on her, she will have a great time redeeming it! it is even better if you can take her.

My daughter's favorite gift at 3 was a purse full of stuff (play phone, play keys, notebook, pen, chapstick etc).

Entertainment. When people ask what they can get my kids I tell them admission passes for movies, plays, museums, the zoo, water parks or amusement parks.

Doesn't sound like she needs a gift at all then! How about a gift certificate to somewhere fun, Plaster Fun Time, Build-A-Bear, etc... Sounds like the last thing she needs is more "stuff."

Dress up clothes are wonderful at this age. Find a couple of old frilly/princess-y dresses at a consignment store and buy a bunch of costume jewelry, purses, or other accessories. She'll love it!

Also, please check out my Discovery Toys website. We have great toys that grow with children, so she will continue to learn from and play with them for years to come. Playful Patterns is a wonderful toy for a preschool-aged girl (I am giving it to a friend's daughter who turns 3 in a couple of weeks).

Maybe try a play food item from Melissa and Doug, pretend fun never gets old and my kids never seem to have enough "food" to play with. You can find the Melissa and Doug sets online at Amazon.com or ebay fairly cheap if you have enough time to order online. (a ton cheaper than in stores anyhow) My kids favorite is the Felt Sandwich kit, they love it so much I even thought about getting the felt food pizza kit. If not the food, then go visit a Ross/TJ Maxx they have good little dress up costumes for pretty cheap as well. Girls can never have too many princess outfits ;) good luck!
