Does anyone know of a good place for a birthday party for a 2 year old? As of now, I have a party reserved at Playground World, but the only time available is not only nap time for the birthday girl, but for just about all her guests. I'm looking for an alternate location. Her birthday is December 1st so I need an indoor location. Pump it Up and The Science Center are our of my price range. Even Chucky E. Cheese is expensive at $11 a child with 20 or so guests and I'm not sure if 2 years old is the right age for there. Unfortunately my house is just too small. Does anyone have any suggestions? I live on the west side of Cleveland.

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

What about the Amazone ?? We went there and it was a great time, there are 2 areas one for small kids learning to climb and such then the more advanced climbing area. It was a great time. I have a 3 1/2 year old and twin 2 year olds- they all had a blast. They have coupons online too. Its a younger version of a Chuckee Cheese. How many kids are going ?? They have the best pizza- I was surprised.

My sister-n-law had a birthday party at the Planetarium in the metro-parks near Avon. I know it is in that area but am unsure of the exact location. They had a small party room for food and gifts and did a special showing of the plants for everyone at the party. The kids had a ton of fun and they provide the cake and all the plates and utensils. It was a very nice party!

They also have a few animals, fish and snakes for the kids to go around and look at.

I don't believe it was very expensive and it was very age appropriate.

Good Luck!

You can try the zoo... you can bring food, etc. and set up in a pavilion for no cost or you can have the zoo host (not sure how much that costs). You can go down to a Metropark area with a pavilion and play games outside, or even at a beach, like Huntington, where there are pavilions, bathrooms, play areas.
How about at Malley's?? I know the ones in North Olmsted and Bay Village host parties and what kid doesn't like ice cream? :)

Hi K., I actually had my daughters 2nd b-day party at Swings n Things but I believe it is similar in price to the others you mentioned. The chilren enjoyed themselves! There is a play area for smaller children but some of them actually wanted to try and play the games. What I had to do was limit the party to just children basically around her age. I believe their minimum is 8. Also I had a small gathering at my home on her actual b-day so people could come and celebrate with her and it worked out well, everyone understood what I was doing because it can get expensive.
I live on the west side as well so if I hear of a better place I will let you know. I wish you the best.

We just had a party for my one year old daughter at Lakewood Park and everyone had a great time. They have a great playground and a pavillion right next too it. Of course, weather this time of year is always questionable. You do have to be a resident of Lakewood to reserve the pavillion. Since I live in Cleveland, I had one of the guests who does live in Lakewood reserve the pavillion.
