My daughter will be turing 9 this month and she is having 5 of her friends over for a sleepover/swim party. Does anyone have any fun party games that we could do during the evening or an activity that would be fun to keep everyone busy?

What can I do next?

Hi M.,

Have you considered having any entertainment at your party?

My husband and I are professional clowns living in Anna. We offer facepainting, balloon sculptures, comedy magic shows, friendship bracelets, along with fun interaction and games. We've entertained at birthday parties and large events like the Plano Balloon Festival.

The girls would probably enjoy a magic show or facepainting and balloons.

Our prices are very reasonable (we have four great kids of our own so we know how expensive things can get)and we do our best to work within a person's budget.

Please feel free to take a look at our website at www.freewebs.com/bubblesandwowza for samples of our work.

Give us a call at ###-###-#### if you have any questions at all.

Hope you have a great party whatever you decide to do.

Hope to hear from you,

For my daughter's sleepover/party, we had several stations...fingernails, toenails, hair, pillow decorating, flip flop decorating, or jewelry making can be some ideas.

Truth or Dare can be fun, too if you are present to keep the truths or dares not embarassing. I dared them to go outside to the front porch and sing "I'm a Goofy Goober" from Spongebob all at the same time.

My husband also printed some 8x10 pictures of the current teen/tween heartthrobs. We put red lipstick on the girls, blindfolded them, spun them around and had them kiss the wall with the pictures - whoever they got their kiss mark on was their "boyfriend". That went over very well...lots of giggles. (We even threw some pics in of our son and one of Shrek when they were blindfolded)

Have fun!!

A friend of mine just had a sleepover for her 8 year old and they did a really cute decorate a sleep mask craft with sequins and glitter. They also played "musical sleeping bags" which I thought was really cute.

I recently did our Daisy Girl Scout Troop's slumber party. Their favorite game was "spin the bottle" ... the G-rated nail polish one. One girl draws a bottle of nail polish out of a bag. She spins the bottle around on the ground. Then she paints one nail on the person it land's on's toes. They all end up with crazy looking toes. Our girls were 5-7 and it kept them entertained for about 30 minutes, but it seemed like it would be fun for older girls too. Set out some beads for making bracelets. You could also make your own glitter makeup. You can buy little lip gloss pots at the craft store. Put in some Vaseline. Mix in some cosmetic glitter from Sally Beauty Supply. Mix in some Pixie Stick powder for color & flavor and stir with a toothpick. Also, body glitter gel was a hit. Buy little containers from Michael's. Fill with clear aloe gell, pour in cosmetic glitter and stir with a skewer. I don't know if your daughter is into Barbies or if she has outgrown that, but they have a really cute Barbie slumber party book with lots of activities. Have a great party.

We did a couple of Limo parties.

The first one, we picked each friend up personally at her home, then drove around so the girls could snack and listen to music. When we got back, they had pizza, made picture frames, had manicures, etc and had a great time.

The other limo party, we did the same except took the girls to the Shops of Legacy. We stayed in a suite at the Marriott, had dinner at Nicola's, swam, movies and room service for late night snack.

Enjoy! They grow up TOO fast.

We did re-lay races for my kids before. They had soo much fun.

Two cheap buckets and two old sweatshirts each child dunks the sweatshirt has to put it on and run back and swith off.

The egg/spoon contest

plastic cups w/ a tiny hole at the bottom-fill up the cup,put on head and run to fill up a bowl.

water balloon fights

Play twister with the water sprinklers on.
It was really funny to watch and they had so much fun! Have a great party!

A friend of mine threw a pajama party for her daughter's birthday, but they were younger and did not sleep over. She did the whole make-up and paint nails, etc which was a big hit (love the idea of "spin the bottle"). She also bought cheap pillow cases and fabric markers. She put the girls names on the pillow cases and let them each decorate their own. With the older girls they could probably even do their own names if you just provided the cases and the markers. This was their "goody" to take home. They also made their own mini pizzas and watched a movie. Have fun!
