My son is turning 11 in February. My question is could I please get some advice at where to have it at. We do not want to have it in our house because last time we at a party at the house things got broken. So I was hoping someone could give me some ideas as to where to have it. I was going to do a skating party but he doesn't like skating. Thank you for all the help.

What can I do next?

We just had my daughter's bday party last weekend, so I just got finished with all my looking, too! =0) The new Roxy movie theater in Smyrna does birthday parties and they look like fun! You can check it out on thier website. We had our daughter's at Bounce U in m'boro. Last year, she had it at Pump It Up in Cool Springs, so this was our second bounce party in a row! We love those places. The kids and adults have a blast!!! I must say that our experience at the new Bounce U in m'boro was much better than Pump It Up last year. Bounce U's staff really out did themselves! =0) You can also do the new Phazer Craze (laser tag) place in m'boro. Or there's the Discovery Center in m'boro, the pottery painting place in m'boro (Third Coast Clay....SUPER FUN), the bowling alley, ETC Gymnastics does fun bday parties. You can check all the details out on their websites. I really recommend Bounce U though. He's at a terrific age for that place and the staff is wonderful! If you have any questions, feel free to message me! =0)

Nashville has a laser tag place. He would LOVE IT! Peterson Park in Murfreesboro has an indoor pool, so does Sports Com in the boro.

I know it may be cold for these options - but if outdoors works we have been to some at the YMCA skate park - kids bring their bikes, roller skates, scooters or whatever they like and have the place to themselves. Also, one year a paid $25 to the city and reserved use of a baseball field at the local park. Had pizzas ordered to be delivered there. Lots of fun. If you want indoor there is also a Galaxy Golf place that is like glow in the dark putt putt and I saw recently at Opry Mills that you can have a party at the movie theatre. Oh - and I heard of a place in Brentwood where you can make your own movie. The kids have a costume and script and then everyone gets to take home a copy of it. If you're interested in that email me offline and I will find out the name for you.

I have four kids and we have done lots of things for birthdays. These are the things my kids have done for birthday parties. Skating, ice skating, bowling, movie, pizza and games at Chuck E Cheese, camping in the back yard, camping at grandma and grandpa's farm, bonfire, hayride, and roasting hot dogs at the farm, picnic and touch football game at the farm, picnic at a park and playing on the park equipment, video game tournament at home with three (two borrowed) Play Stations. Think about what other parents have done for the birthday parties you have been invited to and then ask your son what he wants to do.
