I get together regularly with a group of moms from my child's school, and one of them is having a birthday soon. I would like to give her a small gift, but am stuck for creative ideas - I'd like to do something different than the usual gift card, bottle of wine, etc. Ordinarily I would make a sweet treat, but she is super into fitness and doesn't eat much sugar. She doesn't really have any other hobbies or activities that would lend themselves to easy gift-giving.

once a acquaintance mama friend gave me 2 jars of home canned tomatoes, in a plastic tote with some pot warmers and a recipe card for Chili.. I absolutely loved it.
