when is the best day to start in the pill ?how many days after my period can i start?

to make it easier to keep up with remembering if you've taken your pill or not, they usually recommend that you start your pills on the sunday after you start your period.
Start the day after your period stops.
You typically start it on the FIRST day of your period... OR a Sunday start - you start the first SUNDAY AFTER your periods STARTS (not stops...) With the Sunday start and a traditional 21 days of "active hormone" pills you should not have periods on the weekends... with any luck. Also IF there is absolutely NO chance you are pregnant - you can start them now... the reason for the start on the first day of your period - is that, in most cases, that means you are NOT pregnant... If you choose to wait until your period stops before starting pills - then you will have to use back up birth control until you complete the entire first pack of pills, with the other methods, you do not...
