I bought a little battery operated trimmer at Walgreens about 6 yrs ago for my daughter. She is 17 now and uses the razor mostly but the trimmer was very handy. It was around $10.
Sigh........ it's back to school time and it's time for my 12 yr old to do "maintenance" lol.
She is "blessed" with thick brownish-black hair and porcelain skin, and doesn't want to be embarrassed when changing in the locker room for gym. Odd thing is she's never shaved her legs because those hairs are very thin and practically strawberry blonde like the hair on her head!
I wax and she's not willing to do that yet, so I was wondering if any moms have had excellent experience with a particular brand/type of bikini trimmer/shaver. I appreciate the info. :)

As with everything, it is a personal choice. My youngest, uses a razor, yet I can't and wax. Let her make the choice and see what she prefers. Offer the trimmer from Walgreens, trimming scissors, let her even try Nair and see if that becomes an option.
My wife uses my twin blade razor and shampoo.
Good luck to you and yours
I use the Schick Hydro five blade men's shaver and a body wash to shave with. They do have a women's version now. Hair removers are not meant for the bikini or pubic area. It says that right on the label. I have very dark brown hair and need to shave every three days using the razor I mentioned for the hairs not to show.
I personally use a Lady Remington trimmer. I used to use a razor and had the WORST ingrown hairs after. But 8 years ago or so my girlfriends turned me on to the trimmer and I have no problems at all.
