I don't know where you live, but there is a place called Tinas Closet in downers grove that should be able to help you!
I am a big breasted gal, 42DDD and I desperately need your suggestions for a no-wire bra that supports my girls. Playtex was my go-to for years, but they just aren't making bras like they used to. I have been fitted and know my size, I just cant find a bra that gives me support. I am desperate. Thanks so much.

Go to Tinas closet in Lisle... its worth the drive. She fits you and you try them on there. Her bras are a little more money but well worth it! I finally convinced my mom to go there and she was amazed!! I love her and her bras!!
Go to "Tina's Closet" in Lisle. They will measure you and get you all set. It's a little more pricy, but even my very frugal friend says it's worth it. It is $25 for a fitting, but that cost is applied towards your purchase if you buy a bra there.
FIrst of all, if you are a 42 ddd, you might be wearing the wrong size. You are probably like a 40 G or something (since a 42 DDD is actually an F).
I like Goddess bras (do a search online) and the Bravissimo catalog. I also like Her Room to order from, they carry a lot of bigger sizes.
I am a 38 J or K. I get my stuff from Her Room or Bravissimo.
I would suggest you measure yourself again, because so many women wear the wrong size bra. My mom thought she was a b or c until I measured her and she is a D!
Measure under your boobs and get that number (what you wear now is a 42). Then measure around your back including your boobs. THe difference in the two numbers, for me it's 10 or 11 inches... is your cup (letter) size. J is the 10th letter in the alphabet, so I'm a J or K.
Of course most of us walk around for life, never measuring ourselves, so if this helps anybody, that would be great. It's usually quite a shock to find out! :) Did you ever see the Oprah where they measured all the women in the audience and like 80% of them were wearing the WRONG SIZE!?! That was something.
Anyway, once you do that, you will know what size to actually get. And, if it's actually a 42 DDD, you can go online to Bravissimo! or Her Room and find just what you want. :)
GOod luck and have fun shopping!
I too wear the "unusual" size bra....only I need it in a 38DDD which is even MORE difficult to find. I feel your pain. I have found that Avenue, Lane Bryant and Catherine's offer a decent selection of bras in out sizes at reasonable prices....both with and without wires. As to the support issue...once the bras reach 3 to 4 months old the support starts to wane. I really really like Wacoal brand since they include that internal extra sling both with and without the wire (I can sometimes find these at Carsons but they cost more than $60 each) and frequently shop on-line for bras. My sisters are also large breasted (one wears a 36H) and shop nearly exclusively on-line. They recommend "Figleaf" out of England and say they have found things just by typing in "full size bras" in the tool bar search. Arizona Trading Company and Just my Size carry some styles that look promising. I hope you find what you are looking for. I know that we need both support, a reasonable price and ...it would be nice to not have it look "orthopedic"!....a little sex appeal goes a long long way for self image! Good luck!
There is a store on Southport at Addison called Trosseau. They carry all sizes and will do a free fitting. Call ahead to make an appointment, you can walk in, but if they are busy you may have to wait around for awhile. They have all price ranges starting at $60ish.....
I'm not so big but in a D cup and I just found the very best bra that I have ever worn. Its called Warner's and I've only found them at Macy's. They are underwire and not only extremely comfortable but extremely supportive and flattering (for me anyway) as well. They're also thick enough to where you never see any "headlights" shining through. I absolutely love them and I have been an avid bra-hater for years. You have to check them out!

Lane Bryant has a line called cacique (ka-seek) and they carry only plus sizes. my mom, sister in law, and i all buy our bras there. i would suggest checking them out
Hi I am an Essential Bodywear rep and can help you. Feel free to give me a call. ###-###-####.
They are very expensive but go when there is a sale or try nordstrom rack but I went to nordstroms was fitted alway thought I was a 36 C well afdter being properly fitted i am a 34 E so she found me some bras and let me tell you they are amazing and I will never go anywhere else , they hold them up and I saved myself 10,000 from having to ahve a reduction and lift! Sorry but it is worth every penny for me and my husband just lost his job so i am still all about the comfort and support and feel and fit and great styles! go there get one bra see how you like it and then try the nordstrom rack for the same style yet cheaper.
good luck

I too am full figured (42F/G - depending on bra) and have found that I love the Cacique bras from Lane Bryant. They have wired and non-wired. I prefer wired myself for lift and support, but their non-wired are also amazing. They have a Cacique store (attached to the Lane Bryant) off Route 72 near the Sears Center. You can try them on and find the one that's best for you. They are a little pricier, but I find it's worth it. Blessings!
Hello! I just went to a "Bra Party". A consultant comes to your house and measures you and your friends (privately in a separate room). Then she helps fit you with a bra that will help with your particular needs. There were several ladies at the party I went to that were big breasted and the bras they purchased that night made a HUGE difference for them. It was so fun to make a party out of getting a new bra. No hassle of trying things on in the dressing room and guessing at what might be the right size.
Here's a link to the site. http://www.essentialbodywear.com/index.htm
The consultant we had was Dona Morrill (she's great!).
I see that you have already received many repsonses, but I LOVE Lane Bryants bras. They have a great selection and usually they are on some sort of sale. I have been buying the same ones for years!
I know people have already mentioned this but GO TO TINA'S CLOSET!!!! They're wonderful! They can fit ANYONE properly and comfortably. www.tinasclosetinc.com They don't take appointments, but move people through fairly efficiently. Check their calender to make sure they're not closed for a trade show before you go. I have been going there for a few years now and will never go anywhere else again. It's worth the trip and worth the price.
I was really impressed when I went to a small, independent bra shop for a fitting when I was pregnant a few years ago. I've always been an underwire user but wanted something supportive but without wires for pregnancy/nursing. They really do know their stuff.
The place I went to is in Berwyn, so maybe not convenient for you, but look around to see if you have a similar local place. It was not fancy or expensive, just very well stocked and the salespeople were knowledgeable and friendly. (if you are in the area, the store is Central Foundations on Cermak.)
It sounds like you need Tina...There is shop in Lisle called Tina's Closet. She says that there is no woman that she can't help! I'm only a FF size, but this lady is wonderful. I no longer have the horible back problems at the end of my days, since she got me in the right bra. I took my grandmother there, who makes me look like I'm in a training bra. She would always go without, because they hurt so bad. After Tina's, she is a new woman! She has the support (she actually looks perky!) and rid of the back pain.
Hi,
Wear a bra with the appropriate size.
Wear a snug bra.
Drink a few cups of sage tea daily.
Soybeans is one food that make boobs bigger.
Grape seeds extract also increases boobs.
Use Olive Oil.It can really do help to promote firmess and breast tone.
It will help.

Wow, it sounds like you got a lot of great suggestions! I would also try Von Maur. They carry the Wacol bras, and I've been able to find great bras there. Not to mention that the customer service is top notch (they will find it for you if they don't have the right size/color in stock). I will say that it is a little pricey there, $60+, but it is worth it.
