I've used Jergens Natural Glow in the past, I don't *think* it turns me orange. It doesn't streak like other ones I've used.
I know there are some fashion magazine reading moms who know the scoop on best self -tanners. I just turned my self orange (luckily I have no where to go in a bathing suit this week). I want a nice glow for a weekend get away in a month or so. Would love a recommendation on brand. Thx

I really like the Jergen's Natural Glow. You really can't mess it up. If you could, I'd have messed it up. You put it on like lotion. Very easy and no smell. For a pricy one, use Khiels.
I honestly don't think any of them look good. I have photographed a bride who used some sort of artificial tanner and her skin glowed orange while the part on her scalp glowed white. I know it seams minimal, but I actually had to tan her scalp and turned down her color. It was a lot of extra work for someone who looked in her bathroom mirror in her bathroom light and thought she looked good.
As well, I work with a guy who goes once a year to the Ukraine, looking for his bride. He is interested in a young beautiful bride and does the old fake n bake and diets before he leaves. His tan was so bad I asked him if he was alright. I thought he was ill, or burned his skin some how. I wasn't sure what happened. As well, his skin was dry and tight, which increased the appearance of his wrinkles. Further, other people approached me and asked if he was okay.
I give all the credit to the almighty sun, in small doses. We all have the initial white legs in the beginning of summer.
Jergins Natural Glow. I love that it builds over time so I don't go from bioluminescent white to streaky brown right away. :) The new formula is lovely....doesn't have that weird smell at all.
I live in AZ and stay out of the sun. I'm super white and last summer I used Jergen's and it was awesome. Everyone complimented me on how nice my tan was. lol Good luck!
Get a spray tan the day before you go. They look more realistic. My daughter does the spray tan now but her favorite self tanner at target is by Loreal.
I'm heading to CA for a conference and fun time so I'm getting spray tanned Friday night.

Another vote for Jergen's Natural Glow. I'm a redhead with extremely fair skin and it has never turned me orange. Stay away from any self-tanners that say "instant" or "bronzer," because I've learned through experience that those are not gradual and will look orange.
The Jergen's product is very gradual. It may take a week to reach your desired level.
