Best Jogging Stroller - Milwaukee,WI

I will also sing the praises of the BOB. We have a double stroller, and it really helps to have a nice one when you're pushing around that much weight.

I have 6 kids, the youngest being a set of 3yo g/g twins. I had a "baby jogger" w/ my oldest son, now 22, and loved it. I also had a schwinn for my now 12 year old daughter, didn't love it. When the twins were born, i researched it for so long, i LOVE to jog, run, walk etc. everywhere and i literally read every review, article, consumer report etc. and came up w/ the BOB jogger. Mine is a "dualie" which is a double, i absolutely LOVE IT!! I have used it daily since my twins were 4 months old. It does have an adapter for the infant seats, you have to buy it separately but it is available. I also bought the parent console for the handlebar for my water bottle, cell phone, keys etc. it is definitley pricey - the double cost me 600 bucks, but it's been soooooo worth it. Bottom line is that you get what you pay for. this has oversized sun shades, reflective strips, swivel or non swivel front wheel and it fits everywhere i've ever been. Naturally in a small boutique type store that's crammed with my double it's not the easiest to manuver (sp?) but w/ a single i'm sure it would be fine. You should definitely check it out - it's a great stroller that's sturdy, lightweight and worth the cash! good luck!

I can't say enough good things about the BOB Revolution! We bought ours when our DD was almost a year old, I soooo wish we would have gotten it sooner! I HIGHLY recommend it, it is the best. We use ours everywhere, trails, stores, sidewalks, parks, on the grass, on gravel, on dirt roads, in the snow....it is your be everything go everywhere stroller.

You can't go wrong with the BOB stroller! It is the BEST!! We bought it to use running on a trail by our home, and ended up using it for everything!!!! The only thing you should know, is it does not recline all the way back, so if that matters to you for naps etc. this is something to consider. We LOVE ours!

I have and love the Phil & Ted's Sport stroller with or without the double seat (purchased seperately). It maneuvers really well, has a locking or swivel front tire, has an attachment for the infant seat (purchased seperately). So, obviously, the drawback is that you have to purchase items seperately. I think our stroller was about $500 w/ the doubles seat. If you're just looking for single, it is about $350-400. I'd go try one out first if I were you. Oh, and another thing that I don't like and I"m not sure if BOB's is different, but my model does not have a hand brake - just a foot break. I got used to this even though we lived in a very hilly neighborhood. It doesn't affect me at all now that we happen to live somewhere fairly flat. Overally, the P&T design is innovative and works perfectly for us. I just love that I can push my stroller with one hand and hold a cup of coffee in the other without veering off to the side or getting stuck at cracks/bumps in the sidewalk. I do jog, but usually not with my kids! The few times I have used it to run with one of them, it seems to go smoothly.

I vote for the BOB too. I absolutely love mine, I've had it for over a year. I take it everywhere. One problem with it is that if you're like me and want have it with you always, you need to make sure it fits in your vehicle and allows you to get groceries, etc in too. I'm looking for a vehicle to replace my Jeep and this is my biggest problem, I don't want to leave my BOB at home! Like another post said, you only need one hand to steer, and as far as the brake, it has a strap that goes through the foot brake and up to the handlebar, so you just pull on the strap to put the brake on. The front wheel swivels or locks. I'm fine with how far the seat reclines, I don't need my son to be perfectly flat-if he was the stroller might tip over with so much weight in the back portion (so be careful if you like to hang your diaper bag on the handlebars). The storage underneath is plentiful, but I like my bag at arms reach. I agree too that it fits everywhere, I haven't had problems getting it through any aisles. It's a big investment, but it will last forever and it can hold up to 70 pounds I think. I did get the car seat adapter, which then converts to a snack tray.

i will second the BOB! we have the revolution and i'm not even a runner. we comment at least once a week to eachother STILL how great our stroller is! we had many friends who own it and then i had the book "baby bargains" which is a great source as well! it has an adapter kit for most infant seats to attach but it is seperate for purchase ($50). we got our stroller at rei and used a 20% coupon but they're on sale quite often too. i think we paid about $350 and always say it was our best baby gear purchase! it goes everywhere! good luck in your hunt!

We have the Kelty Kids 2009 Duallie with swivel wheel. Whatever you do, get swivel wheel. I returned two joggers that did not have this b/c they DO NOT TURN. Doubles turn with more force, of course, than a single.

Honestly the InStep Safari swivel wheel has been great for us, though it's pretty cheap. Just buy an extra sun shade. Kids are 3, 2 and a newborn. I never used an infant seat since they are not supposed to use jogging strollers for jogs until 6 months, but by 3 months the newborn fits in them just fine for walks.
