My 5 year old needs to see a dentist. She has MAJOR fear, a possible cavity, and to add to the mix we don't have dental insurance. I will pay whatever it takes to give her the best outcome. But I don't want to throw away money on a bad or so so Dentist and cause her fear level to rise even higher! Who would you recommend? Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thank you all so much for the recommendations! I found out that many Dentists aren't open on Friday. But we went to Texas Pediatric Dentistry on Custer in McKinney ###-###-####. Dr Brister was wonderful. There was no wait and good news no cavity!!! Her anxiety is well above the average but she was very calm with this Dentist. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Tipton Asher in Plano. Located near Medical Center of Plano 3713 W 15th St, #404 ###-###-####.

He is not cheap but he is amazing with kids. He does not deal with insurance. If you have it, you manage it as far as filing, etc. You pay when you leave. I do not think he overcharges because we do have good dental insurance and I am always reimbursed 100%. As you know, insurance companies will only reimburse reasonable charges.

My daughter is 12 and we have seen him since she was 2. Never a problem. Good luck. Susan

Try Dr Robert Morgan. He is wonderful. There office is in Richardson right off of 75 and Cambell. He was able to fill 4 cavities on one visit for my 4 year old. They are wonderful. Can't say enough good about them.

I don't have any dentists for you but a suggestion that I used for my DD at that age. Try getting books from the library about going to the dentist. Ask them at the referral desk and they will direct you to some that will help her understand what will happen.

Good luck!

Dr. Tipton Asher in Plano is the most amazing pediatric dentist! My neice's daughter who was adopted from China has many dental issues. Dr. Ahser has been incredible at diagnosing, treating and caring for her. Although she was afraid in the beginning, she now loves it there. The staff loves children and have ways of making being at the dentist fun. My grandson now goes to him. I have several friends in the dental field, and they all say he is top notch. His website is www.planokidsdentist.com.
