I used a wrap and would recommend one. I felt they were comfortable and held things in in all the right places to aide in recovery. Ask at the hosp - the one I delivered at GAVE me one.

I am also going in for my 3rd csection in a little over 4 weeks and was thinking about trying one of these out! My hospital doesnt offer them like alot of the other womans did so i was gonna buy one! I dont know when you are scheduled for yours but if its after mine I will let you know and if yours is sooner than mine please let me know! good luck!
my nurse brought up the binder for me after my c-s i loved it it really made things more comfortable for me with getting in and out of bed. your doc can write the script and the hospital should have them there so you can have it after you have been cut loose from the IV and cath. ask your doc on your next visit. gl and God Bless for a speedy recovery and safe birth
I was given a wrap in the hospital after my second c-section. I was supposed to wear it all day, but it wasn't comfortable while sitting or lying down. I think it was too long for my torso, but I found it a great help when moving around! I was able to walk at close to normal speed about 14 hours after surgery, and it didn't hurt nearly as much when I was wearing it and moving. I ditched it about a week and a half after delivery when I felt it wasn't helping much anymore. Good luck!
I was given one by the nurses right after my c section with both my first and second child. I didn't use it after my first (I think I kept it on long enough to just keep the nurses happy and then took it off). After my 2nd, I kept it on my entire stay in the hospital and for about a week afterwards. I have to say, I was much more comfortable the 2nd time around because it protected the incision site and kept it from jiggling around when I walked. I even felt more comfortable while sleeping with mine on.
Good luck to you and your almost here babe!!!!
After my first csection I didn't use it and it took longer to recover. After my second csection I used it for the first two weeks and loved it. It helped me move around better and sleep better
I used biking shorts. You can get them on sale and they work the same because they have lots of spandex. Plus they went right under my clothes and it wasn't noticeable.
get the band in the hospital and then wear it about 1-2 weeks post surgery, but then you really need to get something else that breathes better. mine was of course hosp grade and had velcro, so when it was all closed up it didnt really breathe in there (at my incision). after 2 weeks i moved back to my belly band knockoff that i got from motherhood maternity (to be able to wear my regular pants through pregnancy) and i wore that. its similar to what someone else said about the bicycle pants. it allowed me to wear some of my regular clothes post pregnancy by slimming me, but also giving me much needed abdominal support.
