It could be a ton of different things. The most cause of bald spots in children is fungal infection but it could be several things. A trip to the ped is probably in order to get a diagnosis and treatment for whatever is causing it.
I would like to know why my 2 year old neice is just now getting bald spots on her head this has just started doing this now she hasn't ever before had these bald spots.

My little cousin started getting bald spots when she was very young, her pediatrician diagnosed her with Alopecia. Check with a pediatrician, they will help you find out what is going on and if necessary, direct you to visit a dermatologist.
Keep a close eye on her for a few days, she may be pulling her hair out. Our friends son (2 years old) just started doing this. They had to buzz his hair!
Could it be ring worm?
It could be a lot of things:
1-she could be pulling out her hair
2-thyroid disfunction
3-natural shedding
4-juvenile diabetes
5-a whole host of other problems
It would be a good idea to address this with her pediatrician.
