I don't think you need to worry. My 11 month old daughter has hit her head multiple times -- when she fell off the bed, inside of the car while I was trying to get her strapped in, against the crib when she rolls over, against the wall when she tries to roll over while I try to change her, etc. -- but she's perfectly fine.

Your baby should be fine, but you have to listen to your instincts. If you're feeling really anxious then call your pediatrician. And for the love of John Lennon, please don't capitalize every single word. It's hard to read.

I think he will be fine. My 5 month old has been hit in the head by his 18 month old sister several times, and he is fine. His doc said that the soft spot is actually not something to be scared of, that its pretty tough.

Next time you take him to the doctor, ask the doctor when the soft spot closes up. That will help you feel better about the soft spot.

He will be OK. My oldest nephew's soft spot didn't close up for like a year.., we were SO worried! The doctor assured us that it was OK & that the skin & spot itself was a lot more resilient than we thought!

I am sure your baby is fine, he didn't even cry!! Don't beat yourself up too much...you have years & years of injuries ahead of you!!

No need to worry. All babies get bonked on the head by accidents like this. Unless the soft spot is penetrated, i.e. pushed in by a small object there is no reason to be concerned. That head is very well protected.

i know it was a scary moment for you. i agree with the ones that said he should be okay. kids fall and get lots of bumps and bangs but they are pretty tough though. :) if it swells or he acts weird take him to the e.r. as soon as you notice.
