What baby slings have you used and loved? I swaddle my babies, so I want a sling that the baby can use while she is swaddled. I'm expecting #3 at the end of October and I'd like to carry the baby without needing both hands. Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

I absolutely LOVED the mei tai that I made for my boy. If you Google mei tai you'll find lots of companies that sell them. It is a good way to carry baby because it distributes the weight across their upper legs, and they are not just hanging on their spine like in a baby bjorn.

Happy days.

my sling (which i am wearing right now hehe) is a hotsling. I love it! I didn't like the ring slings myself. with a newborn you definitely can swaddle the baby and hen use a sling.. just make sure the swaddle is a light material. also, with brand new newborns you may want to roll up a small towel (and fold into a "U" shape and put it in the bottom of the sling to lift the baby up in the sling so that they fit better, until baby gains some bulk!

Second the Moby wrap - perfect for newborns and bigger/older babies. Also great for skin on skin contact which has been shown to be hugely beneficial to babies! Use to wear my little ones in it having them wearing just a diaper and me just a sports bra on top and they would soothe so easily!

I used the Hava Ring Sling which was wonderful for me. Fit was key, though, and it took some practice to get it on correctly. It had a built in zipper pocket on the tail end of the sling which made it convenient for odds and ends.

Love love love a wrap (like moby wrap) when they are little. I like pouch slings and ring slings when they get a little bigger, but for the first few months, especially for the first few weeks when they are itty bitty, I absolutely prefer a wrap! I just made my own since that was considerably less than buying one.
