Hello, I was wondering about baby sling carriers. Which do you think is the best? We are going to Disneyland this summer and I really want something to take with me that will be comfortable for walking around and possibly nursing in. I am looking for something that distributes the weight evenly as well. I was looking at the Moby Wrap but I just am not sure. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Slings are GREAT at Disneyland!! I've carried three different babies through the park in slings. :) I have several carriers:
Over the Shoulder Baby Holder (sling)
Maya wrap (sling)
HotSling (pocket sling)
Baby Bundler (6 yards of fabric to tie on in different positions)
Basic back pack

Every time we went to Disneyland, I chose the Over the Shoulder for many reasons. It is easy to use (that removes the Baby Bundler). You can take baby in and out without removing the carrier (that eliminates the back pack). You can nurse the baby easily (that removes the Hotsling). It is padded for comfort therefore easier on your shoulder and back for all-day use (that removes the Maya wrap).

An unexpected use for the sling was that we sat on it during the parades since the curb was so hot. Also, we took the baby out when it was time for rides, and put drinks, cameras, etc. into the sling to keep them close during the rides.

Enjoy your trip!! Oh- babyholder.com to see the OTSBH sling

Hi J.,

I am using the Ergo Baby Carrier (ergobabycarrier.com) and I love it. It can be used front, back and side/hip. It also is easy to nurse in and has a hood attached to cover your baby's head for privacy and protection from the sun. It was featured in one of the parenting magazines as a parents top choice too. I highly recommend it. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.

I have 5 different carriers:
a Maya wrap
a Nojo sling
a Pocket sling
a Cupertino
a Baby Bjorn

They are all great for different reasons (and they were all given to me for free by friends who didn't need them anymore! Yay!). My favorites are the Maya & the Nojo. I can also totally see why the Ergo would be great. I'm definitely addicted now & only use the car carrier in the car. I just pop her out & throw her in the sling!

This site gives instructions & shows the versatility of the Maya & Nojo type slings:

I agree, the Ergo is great. Weight is carried on your hips instead of shoulders. So comfortable!! Its for tiny babies up to toddlers. They are pretty pricey, but have great resale value.
