Just wondering.. how many of you are typing with your baby in your arm (like I am)? Or who has little ones who keep popping up out of bed to ask for one more thing?

What can I do next?

I sit on my bed to do work and type so my almost 9 month old 20 lber can relax in my crossed legs!!! So much easier than holding her up all day!

When each of my babies was born I used to bring them to the office with me and check e-mail and type while I nursed them. They are a little bigger now and in daycare. But, yes, I've been there done that.

As for the popping out of bed - yes! I think this is pretty standard behavior. With my older one I tie his morning television viewing during breakfast to whether or not he stays in bed at night. It took quite awhile and lots of deprivation of his television privileges, but now he gets it and stays in bed very well. (He is four.)

Those days are long gone for me, but my youngest used to get out of bed endlessly!!! I called it her "parade". LOL! The first time she spent the night away from home I said, "I'll miss you." She said, "I'll miss you too; I'll miss my parade!" Good luck. This too shall pass. It's true what everyone says - it goes by fast! I find myself wondering where the years went..........

My 8 year old daughter who is suppose to be in bed sleeping, keeps running downstairs "for just one more thing". Just a typical night.

Yep! My 30 lbs, 2 1/2 yr old climbs in my lap all the time. Last week & was on the phone & typing (doing MOMS Club work) and he climbed up and was fast asleep before I finished my phone call! Even my 8 & 6 yr olds still come over and snuggle on my arm (makes for crazy mouse work). I think it's because I am finally a stationary target! ;))

I'm right there with you. My 3 year old never goes to bed the first round, or even the second. Sometimes it even takes over an hour. And if I'm sitting down to the computer she thinks she needs to be involved. Makes for interesting typing as I have a laptop. Should start calling it a kidtop.
