i was wondering...is it too early to move on to the 2nd foods. my son is 5 and a half months and i have already introduced him to all the 1s. he has had no problem or reactions. my friend said to wait till he is about 8 months because of the quanity. sometimes he wants more than what is in the 1 jar so i end up giving him 2 by the time we are done eating.

What can I do next?

I would go ahead and feed it to him. How did you introduce the first foods? My son is 5 and a half months also and Im having trouble introducing cereal and the 1st foods. Any advice? W.

You can start the #2 already. It is just a different texture so if he likes it, it is ok. My daughter is 8 months old now and is on #3 foods. All babies are different so just try it. It isnt going to hurt. You dont have to feed your baby all the food in a jar just put however much you want to feed him in a bowl and put the other in the fridge.

I would go ahead and give him the 2nd food. Have you tried giving him a piece of toast, cracker or other piece of bread to chew on after he finishes the jar food. My children didn't like baby food so they ate what we ate from early on. How about pinto beans they are very fulling. Also try giving him one fruit w/cereal and then a veggie. Have you tried the meat? Also just because you give him the 2nd doesn't mean he won't ask for more, it maybe the quality he wants. Hope it helps. What ever you do you are doing great have fun.
