Is there anyone out there that would like to come and pick up 2 baby birds that fell out of their nest and try to nurse them until they are ready to go free. My husband found them in our bushes and there is no way we have time to take care of them and I don't want to see them die. They look like they are 1/2 grown. They have their feathers on their wings and their tail feathers are growing.
Please help.

So What Happened?

I want to thank everyone that responded to my request. I found someone through phone numbers you gave me that would take the birds and bring them up. She does this on a regualar basis.

Contact the Dallas Bird Society's Project HAVEN at ###-###-#### or e-mail ____@____.com. Maybe they can take them or at least point you in the right direction.

Try to put them back if you can. If not, another place you can take them is the Roger's Wildlife Rehab Center - south of downtown Dallas. www.rogerswildlife.org

Put them back into the nest if possible!!!!!!
The mother bird WILL NOT leave them. Just put some gloves on & put them back.

Hi There,

I had a similiar situation with a baby bunny last year and was directed to APES . Their number is ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. I am sure if they are not the ones to help you, that they can direct you to someone that can help!

I would call your local animal control and ask them what to do. I found one that had no feathers, it was knocked out of it's nest in a rain storm. I called and they had told me to leave it and it's mother should find it. I put out a towel I couldn't catch it anyway those little guys are quick. Anyway you can call them and they should help you good luck! Hope this helps. :)
