I know that you can have th tubal reversed... you can also have IVF.
these would not be covered by your medical insurance.
I had a tubal ligation right after I had my last baby via c-section.
My question is, has anyone decided they want another child after a tubal and what steps did you take to get pregnant? What are the options out there?
Thanks for any advice.
Thanks everyone for all the replies. I'm going to speak with my doctor this week and address a reversal. If that's not possible, I will eventually look into IVF when the time is right.

My girlfriend had a tubal and then she got married and wanted a baby--she had a reversal and was able to get pregnant the fun way. Everything worked out and she had a healthy baby girl.
I also had a tubal ligation after my son was born and got divorced a year and half later. I am now remarried and my new husband and I would like to have a child together, so we have looked into tubal ligation reversal and also invetro fertilization. Of course, insurance does not cover either procedure, and from what I have found, it appears to cost from $7,500-$10,000 for either procedure. That is for each try, so if it does not take the first time, those numbers could easily double or triple, etc.. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to be able to do that, so we are not going through with it, but we are still happy because we have two wonderful, healthy children already.

After I had my tubal, my husband and I thought we might want a third child so I started doing the research. You really have a few options. One is obviously adoption, the more expensive route. The second one option is invitro fertilization. Again expensive, and not a guarantee that it is going to take, so you may have to go through several procedures to get pregnant. Your third option is to have a tubal reversal procedure. I'm not sure of the cost of this, but it would be pure out of pocket as most insurance companies won't pay for it. While most of the time they can be successful at the procedure, they can't guarantee the successfulness of it. A lot of it depends on how much of the tube has scare tissue. There are options out there though.
