Looking around at classes and groups. From Jackie Rosenberg to JCC music mommy and me. I like Out side the box too( very cute class in WH ) but just can't seem to make it there enough. I'm amazed at how the babies interact and I'd like to meet mom's I like to interact with too! There is a class I'm checking out on Topangs that's newly open. Any thoughts on classes you've taken or if you have a baby the same age in WH I'd love to hear from you.

Hi S.,

You might want to check out MOMS CLUB (http://momsclub.com/join.html) to find a playgroup in your area. I joined when my daughter was 3 months old. That was 5 YEARS ago and our group still gets together (well tires to anyway) once a week or so. More importantly, I have made some great friends in the mommies in our playgroup. My daughter will be starting Kindergarten in the fall and one of the kiddies from our playgroup will be at her school too!

Temples are great as well. We are in the East Valley and belong to Temple Beth Hillel and I am very involved in their Early Childhood Education program. We started with the Mommy & Me class and my daughter graduated last month from their preschool program. I am also on the ECE Executive Board if you have any questions about the program.

We have a 4 month old now too, so I will be doing it all over again!

Good luck and welcome to baby #2!

It's been a while since I took Mommy & Me classes, but I have to admit that the friendships I created at Jackie's First Class are still active and strong. I met three mom's in that class that I speak to, on almost a daily basis. Our boys are all becoming Bar Mitzvah, too. They have known one another since they were three months old!
I had a child development background, so the topics taught in her class didn't offer me much new information (though I admit, for awhile I did find myself saying, "well, Jackie says"). Honestly, at times I found her a bit annoying, but would go back again and again for the friends I had there.
I also joined a synagogue - Temple Judea. They have an awesome Mommy & Me program. I did that one with my daughter. SHe made friends there that she still keeps in touch with (she's nine).

Hi S.,

Toddle Tunes was just honored with 'Best of L.A. 2008' by Los Angeles Magazine :)

A really fun, experiential, educational and hands down the most well-rounded baby music class there is!

Enjoy!
