Does anyone have a recommendation for an agency that provides au pairs? I am looking for a live in nanny for the summer. I have never done this before, so if you have any suggestions for going about finding one, I greatly appreciate it.

Any tips of wisdome to make this work?

What can I do next?

M., Hi my name is L. Gordon, and I am the Local Director for AuPairCare one of the leading agencies nationwide: www.aupaircare.com
As a fellow parent, I understand how challenging it can be to find quality affordable childcare in Minnesota. Our au pair program offers 45 hours per week of flexible childcare for only $320/week. We have hundreds of experienced au pairs to choose from, and we provide thorough screening and training. The program is regulated by the Department of State.
I would love to talk with you further about your child-care needs and our program please contact me at ###-###-####
I look forward to hearing from you, and wish you the best of luck in your search for quality childcare!

I work at a local community college in the twin cities. we have au pairs come to our school to study. some of the companies that these students are coming from are: au pair care, eur au pair intercultural child care, cultural care au pair...you can do an internet search for other ones. there are a few offices in minnesota, but a lot of the agencies are on the coast.

Hi M.,

I see you posted this request a while ago but I was just wondering if you ended up applying with any au pair agency and if you are happy with it. If not here is some info for that might be helpful.

I am a former au pair and now a local coordinator for Cultural Care Au Pair and wanted to share with you what I know about au pair agencies:

All legal au pair programs are regulated by the US State department so most don't vary in terms of actual program requirements. What set agencies apart are the quality of au pairs, cost, and the level of support you receive from the agency.

Cultural Care is one of the leading agecies in the country. We are currently the most affordable considering we no hidden fees or extra costs for any of the services we offer. We have a great promotion right now that can save you up to $500 in program fees including free enrollement so you would be able to look at available au pairs for free with no obligation.

Our au pairs are rigorously screened and trained. We are the only organization to offer a unique Au Pair Training School and ongoing ongoing safety training throughout the au pair’s year.

Through local coordinators like me, we provide ongoing support throughout the year to ensure that both you and your au pair have an enriching, successful experience.

I hope I was able to give you good insight about our program. Please let me know if you have any questions and how I can help you further.

My mom used to work for EF, doing Au Pair placements. She has great things to say about the agency, and knowing the work she did, I would recommend them too.

M.,

I have a two year old and a 10 week old and hired a nanny last year through Loving Care Nannies. I think they are in Oakdale. Our nanny does not live with us but the agency did a good job of finding one that fit exactly what we were looking for. It is a $1500 fee that is broken down into $80 a month until you pay it off. The only thing is that I called them every few days to make sure I was a prority and it paid off. I am pretty sure they do live in ones as well. Good luck
