My son is 2 1/2 years old and all he wants to do all day, every day is play "baseball". He is either outside hitting the ball off his T and "running the bases" or inside hitting pitches with his soft bat and ball. I have been looking everywhere for a t-ball league for 3 year olds in Atlanta (we live in the city so we can't really go too far out due to traffic and working).

Does ANYONE know of ANYWHERE in the city that has a T-ball league for kids this young? All I can find is 5 and up. Thanks so much!!

What can I do next?

Unfortunately I don't think there is one. We live in the city too, and have a 3 year old who would love to play, but all of my research has turned up nothing for their age :( If you find out differently, let me know!

There is a sporting organization for young children called "Playball" which introduces several sports to preschoolers. It may not cover baseball, but it's worth checking out. My daughter attended Playball at her daycare center when she was two and loved it! I found a website for them. http://www.kidinmecoaching.com/playball. I hope this helps.

I was able to get my son into a YMCA tiny t-ball program...he will be 3 in May...maybe they could work with you depending on when your son turns 3...

Especially considering the attention span of most two-year olds, there probably isn't an organized league... what about organizing a baseball-centered playdate once a week? We have a group of two-year old boys that get together at a city park every weekend (now that the weather is nice) and they play on the playground and such, but a couple of the kids are now really into golf, so there is always a set of kiddie clubs out. You could just use the kiddie gear that your son already has and invite other kids to play too... the others probably won't play baseball the whole time, but maybe that's a good thing, if your son follows them onto the slides for a little while too, mixing things up. It's a bummer that it would all have to be self-organized though.
