The fish fillets are pre-cooked.
The box says they must be cooked because you don't want to chip a tooth eating a frozen one, but I'm sure your son will be fine.
Should I freak out? Can I do anything? Box says must be cooked. I can't find anything on the internet as to how dangerous it could be. Sigh!
He's 4.5 and likes to eat cold, pre-cooked chicken pieces, frozen peas, etc. I hope this isn't dangerous!

Call your pedI to be sure tomorrow.
However, most of the fillets are precooked and simply require heating them until they are hot and sizzly.
Probably nothing to worry about but no harm in asking the Dr. via phone.
Freezing and cooking to 165* kills harmful bacteria.
He likes sushi!
Just watch him.. he should be fine.
OK, this is what I found on why it shouldn't be eaten uncooked: 'They can sometimes harbor little parasitic worms that will pass on to you if you eat the fish raw. Although they don't die when the fish is frozen, the worms become harmless and are practically invisible once cooked.' http://fishcooking.about.com/od/meetyourfish/p/pacific_co...
Just give his pediatrician a call in the morning and ask what to look for...and let your son know he needs to check with you before eating cold foods ; )
I think he will be OK. Was it just a bite? My sister's daughter did the same thing with an uncooked breaded chicken filet. The urgent care said if they are going to get any kind of poising, it will happen within 6 hours. Just keep an eye on him. If he doesn't get sick within 6 hours, I'm sure he is just fine. If you are still worried tomorrow, make a call to his pediatrician.
