We bought a Kenmore dishwasher earlier this year. It replaced an old Bosch that was in the house when we bought it. The Bosch's last forever, but they aren't cheap. They also do not do a traditional "heated dry" so if you like dry dishes, a Bosch isn't for you. The Kenmore we got was rated #1 by Consumer Reports. The top rack is adjustable, so you can give more space to the bottom if needed, or more space to the top if you want to fit plates on it. It has a Turbozone that cleans cassarole dishes, and it works quite well! That was the tiebreaker for me. The silverware basket can come apart into 3 pieces, so if you don't need all the baskets you can use the space for something else. There is a knife holder that attaches to the bottom rack, but it doesn't always stay put as well as I would like. I like having the knives separate because my daughter likes to help me load and unload the dishes. One of the racks on the bottom adjusts to angle cassarole dishes towards the Turbozone sprayer, and two of the racks on top adjust to make it more versatile. It also has the "mug" racks on the top, which I don't have a use for. It has a Smartwash feature that senses how much "dirt" is coming off the dishes so it only runs the dishwasher as long as it is needed to get it clean. The turbozone is also a separate feature that you can turn off or on. There is a sanitizing wash (I used that in our old dishwasher all the time when my daughter was a baby). The only negative thing I can say about it is that it is a very new model, so when we got it ours had a computer glich, so it stopped working a few days after we bought it and had to have the Sears repairman come fix it. That was a pain, but we haven't had any problems since and even after that, I'm so glad we picked this one! If you want the model number I'll look it up for you. When we were at Sears it was advertized as #1 in consumer reports, so I think it would be easy to find. Good luck! I hate doing dishes, but I love my dishwasher!
