Hi Ladies,
Its the time of year for great apples, and we just picked some last weekend. I have a bunch of apples to use. I would like to know what your favorite, "must make" recipe is when its apple season. I plan to make some of them. Thanks for sharing!!

Apple sauce, apple butter, apple crisp. Apple sauce I just slice them add a little water, brown sugar and cinnamon and let them cook away. Apple butter I think I found online and will have to look for it again soon, but it was mainly apples and cider. I skipped the cheese cloth and just put it in the blender and then back on the stove, much easier and less time consuming.

Applesauce hands down. Then you can mix it later into your cookies, pancakes, or just have it as a snack during the winter.

Homemade cole slaw. Just shred up a bunch of raw veggies including the apples and add a jar of slaw sauce! Good luck!

red hot applesauce/rosy applesauce - my mom used to make it a lot when i was little. i just made it not too long ago but don't know what i did with the recipe. you could look online for one.

basically

peel, core and chop up however many you want, i think the recipe i used was maybe 8 apples. in 3 minute increments microwave on high, stir, repeat until tender. add 1/4-1/3 cup red hots, stir until melted, microwave if necessary add sugar to your liking.

it's best served warm.
