Anyone Know Where I Can Get an H1N1 Vaccine for 2-Year-old Child with Asthma?

I have been checking my peditrician's website, Johnson County's website, and the website of pharmacies close to me daily for an available H1N1 vaccine, but I can't find any available. I thought you Moms might have some ideas for me. I live in western Shawnee but am willing to drive. My son is 2 years old and has asthma for which he takes daily medication so he is on the high-risk list. If you know where I can find the vaccine, please let me know. Thank you!

What can I do next?

Johnson County Health is doing a clinic on Thursday, Nov 5th at Blue Valley Headquarters (150th & Metcalf). Ages 6 months to 4 years from 9am to 1pm and from 3:30pm to 8:30pm. Hope that helps.

There is a health clinic at 2400 Troost in Kansas City, MO. I got my son's regular flu shot there this year, for free. You may want to check with them to see if they have received the H1N1 shot. Their number is ###-###-####. It is not the greatest area of town, but we went during the day, and it was just fine. The building and parking lot are nice.

Our pediatrician felt that it will be a whole lot easier to come by in December, and we'll be able to avoid the super long lines at the health dept (you'd probably get sick just standing around with that many people in close contact, too!!).

My children got the H1N1 nasal spray on Monday at the CVS Minute Clinic around 51st and Roe. Definitely call before you go because she was running low on them. She did say they would be getting more (the shots) in soon though.
