Anyone Know How to Lose Just 10 Pounds?

Does anyone have any suggestions for losing weight, I am not overweight just need to lose about 10 pounds and I absoultley hate to diet, and love sweets, and cannot seem to give them up, eating fruit does not work! I also love to excercise and just started again a couple of days ago. Anyone know of a great excercise that really gets you a great workout that burns alot of calories for maxiumun weight loss?

I've had success with the diabetic diet. A friend is a dietician and she set me up. It's all about portion control and balance. I was allowed so much carbs, protein etc each day and when I finished that catagory I had to find something to eat in another catagory. I wrote everything down. That was really an eye opener. I lost 3lbs the first week and 3 lbs the second week then 2lbs the third week. In a few months I had lost 20 lbs. I could even go out to eat. It was easy. Plus there's 'free' foods like sugar free jello and fat free whipped cream to help with the sweet tooth.

There is a supplement company called Standard Process (www.standardprocess.com), and they have what is called the "21 Day Purification Program". I have done a lot of cleanses, and this one is my absolute favorite. It is healthy, and the results are amazing and long-lasting. It will change your cravings and your weight! Plus, make sure that any weight loss program you do encourages fat loss and not muscle, there is a big difference. Make sure you add weight training to your exercise routine too, if you build muscle that muscle will burn fat even when you're not working out! Best wishes!

The best thing that I have ever done is a spin class at the gym. It is REALLY hard the first few weeks, but you will drop pounds and inches like crazy.

If you want to achieve the "skinny" look, jogging is always the answer. But you might try some over the counter diet pill and a bit of jogging to help you achieve results faster.

If you are a member of a gym take some cycling classes. If you do three a week and decrease your calorie intake some you should loose that weight in about a month. Each class burns 600-800 calories and builds great muscles in your legs and abs. Good luck

Hi L.. I definitely recommend running to shed pounds quickly. Just start out running as long as you can, then walking, then running again when you can. You'll definitely drop pounds if you haven't been already running! I also agree with the other ladies who mentioned Arbonne's Figure 8 Weight Loss system as a way to naturally and healthfully lose weight. I love it! Good for you for working out! The absolute best calorie-burner for me has been jogging/running. And the key to making a difference is to do it 4 or 5 days a week for half an hour. I have done 3-day a week exercise routines and all that does is maintain what I've got. When I want to make changes, I need to add the extra day. I have never been consistent with 5 days a week, but 4 days is workable. I'm sure you know that with exercise, you should increase water intake.
Also, I joined a gym at the end of last year to get a more structured workout and have classes available to me. I used the treadmill and weight machines for 4 months before I lost a single pound! I was surprised to see the unchanging scale because my clothes were fitting better. Turns out I was losing inches rather than pounds. The inches kept inching off, then all of a sudden one week I dropped 3 pounds. I bought a few sessions with a personal trainer and I have to wonder if adding the weight training was the key to dropping those pounds. I've plateaued again after those 3 pounds, but maybe I'll see another drop again soon :-)

The Arbonne weight loss system is great. You'll lose the weight slowly, but most people lose about 7 lbs in the first month. It's really easy on your system and it won't make you feel jittery. It's all botanically based, so it's really healthy for you. It's also great for weight maintenance!

I am a personal trainer and I recommend lots of cardio (at least 5 hours a week). It doesn't matter if you do it 5 minutes at a time, but lots of cardio, lots of water. I recommend walking, jogging, bicycling, etc. If you belong to a gym take aerobics classes - they are fun and the time will fly by.

You don't have to take sweets or anything out completely, just limit them and reduce your portion size. It will take time (healthy weight loss is 1 pound a week) but if you do it right, it should stay off. Email me at ____@____.com if you have any other questions.

I know this is not easy..but what has worked for me is to cut out white sugar and any food with corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup in it. Once you start reading labels, you will be shocked about how many of the foods in our groceries food have sugar in them. It is no wonder our country has a weight and diabetes epidemic!

Exercise and drinking lots of water is important too!

Another thing that helped me change my body shape forever is to NOT eat after 7 pm....I think this is very important too.

Fruit has a lot of sugar anyway...I know you're asking about exercise but South Beach Diet really, really helped me. I cut out a lot of carbs and lost 13 pounds in my first two weeks. I've lost 28 pounds total so far in a few months. Good luck!

I work out 6 days/week - mainly running - and eat (mostly) sensible meals. But, I have a HORRIBLE sweet tooth and am a "carbaholic". I am not overweight at all, but would like to lose 5-10 lbs as well.

What I've heard helps is a diet that is high in fruits and veggies and low on dense carbs (breads, refined sugars, etc.). My friend also suggested a cookbook (which I plan to get today) called the "Sonoma Diet". The meals look delicious, and it's not too heavy on the carbs.

I've also found incorporating pilates and strength training to be helpful.

Buy the book "The Fat-Burning Workout" by Joyce Vedral. It is not expensive at all and if you will follow her steps which are the best I have ever done and have done them for over ten years and testify they work, you will not only shed pounds but have a firm and toned body like you never have had. Her way is free weights and you do 20 minutes a day. You do your upper body two times a week and your lower body two times a week and just eat sensibly and cut your fat intake. When I started I was 25lbs overweight and lost it in three months and was toned like I never was before. I went from a size 11 to a size 6 in that short of time and all I used were 3lb weights to start with and then 5lb.You are turning your fat into muscle which burns more calories. You will look lighter than you are for you will have such more toned muscle. That is why men can lose weight faster than women. I never used her 10lb for they were too much for me. Anyway, I love this for I can easily find 20 minutes and you can do this whatever days you like and can do this wherever you go. But, you will be sore like you never have been when you start and that tells you the exercises work and they are easy to do too. Her book also helps you get motivated and how it all works to get your body where you want it.

I have been VERY unhappy with my wieght as of late... well really since I had my daughter the end of last September so this week I tried something and so far 4 pounds are gone. Instead of eating any time I thought about it I chewed a peice of gum. Now of course If I was really hungry than I ate. I did not realize how much of the time I was eating just to eat.

It'd be hard for you but this is what I did:
1)take probiotics
2) cut out meats, processed sugars, anything with preservatives, caffeine, and anything with flour for about 10 days. Slowly add those back in and then watch your portions. You will be surprised with how much "crap" is in things.

I've lost about 12 pounds and it's taken me about three months. I can't exercise due to a back condition but this helped me a lot!
