Does anyone know about the covered areas near the playground at Lake Park? Do you have to reserve them or pay? Having a birthday party for my son and need to know! Thanks

What can I do next?

Yes, you do have to reserve and pay for them. The smaller one holds up to 50 people, and is $50 plus tax (I think it's $52/$53). I don't know the ph# off hand or the website, but I think we just googled Hillsborough County Parks. You can't reserve online, has to be done by phone.

Hey J., I've been there for a playdate about a year ago. I don't believe the organizers of the mom's group paid for, nor needed to reserve, the area. Hope this helps.

As far as I know they have always been first come first serve. But you need to get there early and someone will have to stay there to hold it.

Hello! The covered shelter in the front by the road has to be reserved. The one in the back by the volleyball court is first come, first served. HTH!
