Anyone Have an Asko Dishwasher?

I am dishwasher and refrigerator shopping. The salesperson recommended an Asko dishwasher. I have looked back at two years worth of questions about dishwashers on this website. Only 3-4 people mentioned Asko and I think the majority of those comments were negative. Anyone out there have an Asko and what's your opinion? Looking over hundreds of previous Mamapedia answers about dishwashers, it appears that the majority prefer Bosch and Kitchenaid (always a few exceptions, of course).

What can I do next?

Don't have a great dishwasher so can't speak from personal experience...however, my husband used to sell appliances. Asko is high end and expensive. My husband says it's a good appliance but Bosch, Ariston and Kitchenaid are just as good. If I had my dream dishwasher it would be an Ariston.

We've had an Asko for about 7 years now--it's the only brand that would fit under our lower-than-average kitchen countertops. We've been thrilled with it. It's quiet and works well--I don't have to pre-rinse my dishes or anything and they still come out clean. I do find that the Finish detergent squares work best with it, though. I hope that helps!

I had an Asko washing machine and I absolutely loved it. It was the best washer I ever had. I don't think I have ever seen the dishwashers but I can say that as far as I am concerned Asko is an awesome brand.

Maybe a little off subject, but I just read in the StarTribune that in MN the level of phosphates in dishwasher detergent was reduced to almost nothing a few months ago, and so a lot of people with dishwashers are now not getting clean dishes. I'm one of them, was beginning to think my dishwasher was not working. Maybe something to ask the salesperson about, which brands will work with the new formulations of detergent.
