Have you tried the Please Touch Museum?? Sesame Street is cool and all that, but it gets really crowded and frenetic to me. Especially for a really little toddler.
My son is 23 months old and was considering buying sesame street season passes for this upcoming summer. My only concern is that he is young (will be 2.5 by summer) and am afraid that the rides might be too big for him. Does anyone know if the season passes would be a good purchase?

We didn't have season passes, but have been there several times. I would recommend it. The characters and shows are perfect for his age and there and plenty of rides/play areas he'd love.
This is coming from my experience with Sesame Place. I LOVE it! I have been taking my children since my daughter was 3 yrs. now 8 yrs and my son since 1 yrs old. They maybe a lot of rides he cant do yet. But they have so many littler pools and springkers and dont forget about the carrectors. What fun! I am buying my first season pass this year. I always pack a cooler the packing lot is not far from the enterance so we walk a few times to the car. I only buy one meal at the park that is lunch. This saves a lot of money. I am looking forward to it this year! :)
My son was just over 2 when we took him last summer.
He rode all of the rides that he was able to - carousel, there's a balloon ride, tea-cups, etc. He even went on a couple of the water slides.
Check out the website and it should say if the rides have height/age requirements. (There are a few water ones that I think do).
There's also a couple of splash pools that he should be able to play in regardless.
I think it kind of depends on your. I have no problems putting him on rides, lol, so he knows no fear because I've never given him a reason to be afraid. I've never played into it.
That is a little young, but there were some rides that she could go on, slow trains and such, and a baby wading pool. And the shows and parades they have every day. If you are close enough to go to the park often enough to make it worth it, I say yes go for it.
My kids 5 and 3 (just last week) LOVE Sesame Place! We had passes last summer and it was great! My 3 year old (then only 2.5) could ride on everything except the roller coaster. There is definitely plenty for a 2.5 year old to do! I believe if you get your passes before March they are 25% off online!
We've been taking my daughter there since she was 9 months old..the whole park is geared for children 2-8. We got season passes last year (we live in central NJ) and used it quite often. If you choose to get a pass, you should get it now, it is the cheapest that it will be all year from now until March. I believe that the only ride my daughter (who wasn't two yet last summer) didn't go on was the roller coaster. She loves the water slides and wading pool. There is elmo land in the back that has more dry rides. Just realize that the rides for a child that age have an adult requirement-the can not ride alone. (which I'm sure you know :) ) But the park in general has been great for us and our friends. We will be getting our season passes and looking forward to taking our son this year-he will be one in May. Also, don't forget that with the season passes you get free parking (big bird pass-get it in your son's name so anyone that takes him can get free parking as long as he is with them in the car) AND with all passes you get discounts on food and merchandise....for us the food discount seemed to be like getting a free meal, also there are a lot of pass member events in the off season (Elmo's bday party etc). All in all, we love it there and I would recommend it if your child loves Sesame Street. (By the way, I took my God Child there when she was 18 months and she was very clingy to her mom-I almost fell off the bench trying to catch her running to Cookie Monster, so you may want to go once and make sure he likes it......Good Luck!
We have season passes (bought our 2011's two days ago!) and we live 3 hours away. Not only do you get admission covered, but you also get 30% off of food/drinks/refills and all souvenirs. Our family of 3 buys two of the lowest level (on sale now for about $75) and one middle level (about $95 right now?), because the middle level pass also gets you free parking (typically $16).
We got our first season pass when my daughter was 2, and now that she'll be 4, we plan to frequent it again. It's a clean park, though often quite crowded. With a season pass you don't have to feel like you need to do everything each time you're there, so I find it to be more relaxing, too.
We also went last year in May and October, which were pleasant times to go, too. In October there is the Count's Halloween Spooktacular where there are extra Halloween related activities (nothing spooky!) that are fun to replace the water rides.
Good luck! Passes are currently 25% off so now's a good time to buy!
Love Sesame Place! I had never been there when I purchased the season passes for my daughter, husband, and I. She was 27 months over the summer and she loved it! She asked me almost every day if we could go. I am a teacher so I have off in the summer. We wound up going a total of 8 times including for Halloween.. If you go at least two times the pass pays for itself. You get 30 percent off all food and merchandise in the park though we packed a lunch most days. Also get one big bird pass which includes free parking. Earlier posts mentioned that there are a lot of rides your son can go on which is true. However my daughter enjoyed the shows and the parade the most (the best seat for the parade is where the black meets the blue on the street. Put your towel down at least 30-40 min prior). Also, the dine with me experience is the best part of Sesame...though that's extra...it is so worth it! Go during the week if you can...less crowded! You are going to love it!
I've had season passes for Sesame Place since my daughter was 2. She's turning 6 this year & I already purchased our season passes. We prefer to use the pass on weekdays, so if you can do this it makes life more pleasant. Weekends in May are nice as are some weekends in Sept/Oct. The rides are geared for little ones & there are 4 shows to see. The discounts on merchandise & food make the passes worth it too. Enjoy! ** I personally steer clear from park weekends in June/July/August. I'm spoiled by the small weekday crowds.
I have several times, the park is really small and good for little kids. I have only gone during events for autistic children but I have been told that it gets very crowded and some people have complained about people letting their young children go off alone. Just bring your stroller and he will be fine.
We took our son when he was 3 (only child), he is on the spectrum, so we were nervous about the surroundings. The place is so big and there are so many rides that you can choose which you think is best for your boy. He went on lost of water rides and ven more children's rides; our son LOVED it. Go for it!
I think he may be too young for a lot of the rides. We went there when my daughter was 2 and she liked it but I was afraid to put her on rides and so we would hang out at the pools instead. It's a great place, but probably better for more independent older kids, like 4 and up.
i took my son to SP this past spring and he was 2 1/2 at the time. There were rides and shows for the little kids as well as a water play area. My son didn't like the water area but his friend that came with us (same age) did. Unless you live really close and can go frequently I would not get a season pass. I think a few visits and they may be bored. We were there saturday and sunday and by 2 pm sunday, we were ready to leave, saw/did everything for a 2 year old.
WE got season passes, I loved going. a lot depends on your son's personality Does he like large characters? Parades? Rides, fireworks, shows? Lots of rides for your son IF he likes rides and if he can handle crowds. Mine didn't like crowds and would refuse to go in the super cool wading pools because they're were too many people. If you can go when the park is less crowded then it's great. ( 10:00 am -1:00) weekdays when other kids are in school. I only went on weekends to see special shows not to ride rides. I loved the shows, regular and special guests ) Free to see HIGH Five, Maria from Sesame Street etc You can go one day and if you like it buy season passes that day and they'll apply your daily ticket price. The best bargain has been to buy on Aug 1 and it is good for the rest of that year and the entire next year. but August is crowded. I bought the more expensive pass silver or gold for one of us to get the free parking -worth it since parking is like 13$ Also the pass gets you in to meet the characters before the parade mot crowded very nice again IF he likes to get close and get pictures and hugs with the characters, mine eventually liked it but Always thought big bird was Too big!
