everyone should be going to the bathroom after they eat. You should be going at least 3 times a day. that is normal.
Looking for some support groups for Divorced Single Women/Men/Parents or Book Clubs or Money Investment Groups near LaCrosse, WI. Just took a class at a local High School called "Parenting with Love and Logic". It was great, free and daycare, and all the parents loved it. We got to interact with other parents, got advice on Parenting Tips, and found out that there are other parents out there going through the same thing with their children and your not alone. We need more classes like this or groups around here. Anyone know of some?

wait a sec, what does being from different ethnic backgrounds have to do with pooping? are you saying she eats lots of mexican food?
you may wanna call on htat. it soes sound a little much, and like lactose issues. Wheere do you live?
From what I understand it's completely normal to have a bowel movement everytime you eat. Normal bowel movements are anywhere from 3-4 times a day to 3-4 times a week. I would also check to make sure that the consistency is okay not diarreah but normal poop. I would figure as long as she seems to be of normal weight and not sickly I would think it's okay.
I don't see why her being part mexican has anything to do with this. I personally pooh between 5-6 times a day, and I am NOT lactose intolerant. My daughter unfortunately only goes 1 time every 3-4 days. It is her body. It is normal, unless she is significantly small for her age and losing weight you shouldn't worry. Your sister and significant other aren't.
I don't think her race would have anything to do with her bowel movements. I know plenty of kids who poop after every meal or kids who poop every other day. Everyone is different. We laugh at my older brother who seems to have to go #2 after every meal and kinda joke about it. He's 30 and has always been like that. As long as it's not diarreha or very loose I wouldn't see a problem.
I would say it's normal, especially if they eat a lot of Mexican food becuase it's spicey and has a lot of beans and such.

I have a 3 year old boy. That does not sound normal to me. They should definitely see her pediatrician. And if he dad is like that also he should see his doctor.
As long as she's of a healthy weight and height there's no problem. It's not like she's poohing what she just ate, it's the food from a few meals past that's going through her system. And as long as the pooh isn't loose all the time I'm sure it's fine. BTW: The nationality of a person has nothing to do with ther poohing habits, it's more to do with the food they eat.
It is nothing to worry about at all. My son is the same way and he is 19 months old. He ALWAYS poops 3-4 times a day. Heck I remember times where he has had 5! My doc says it's healthy for them. Means there system is working great. My daughter was the opposite she usually maybe went once a day and still does. Race plays no role in that. My kids are as healthy as could be and active and are at a great weight. There is nothing to worry about as long as the little girl is otherwise healthy too.
Hello!
Actually, that is normal and that is the way we all should be. Dogs are the same way. If you don't clog your body with all sorts of processed and/or fatty foods, you should be going within a 1/2 hour of eating. If you arent going as many times as you eat a day, that is building up inside of you and will cause problems. They are starting to determine that many diseases and health issues are caused by backed up colons.
If these are HER normal bowel movements, then I would say it is normal for her. Digestion takes a long time, not just a matter of minutes. She is not "pooping out her nutrients". People who are lactose intolerant will have stomach upset (pain, cramping) and diarrhea. If this is the way she has always been, and her bowel habits haven't changed, I wouldn't worry about it. Especially if she is gaining weight and thriving. If her mother isn't concerned then everything is probably fine. Every child is different. V., RN, BSN (not currently practing).
