Any Supplements Out There That RELIABLY Help with Belly Fat?

Hey Ladies,

Well, my subject says it all ..... I am a busy mom and work part time, so actually reliably hitting the gym is not a realistic thing for me right now. I have had two babies so my belly looks like it (KWIM?).

Do you know of any RELIABLE belly-fat supplements I can try? The prospect of my ever being able to talk my husband into my getting a tummy tuck are nil. So..... any ideas?

E.

nope. i wish. i'm still looking for that magic bullet, but i know in my heart it doesn't exist. you can only target ALL fat, and you can only do it by eating less and working out more.
oh, how i wish i had better news for you.

Self-acceptance and exercise. Even two times a week, simple walking. Exercise will make you feel better and focus on other things besides your belly.

The real answer to getting rid of belly fat is first burning off the fat, and then toning the muscles. To burn fat, you need cardio...brisk walks, aerobics, etc...something that really gets your heart rate up.

Morning
You note in your profile that you are 43.. that said, consider that a drop in your Estradiol level might be contributing to the belly fat, which means, a supplement may not work too well.. When our Estradiol falls, we become more Progesterone dominant and that can lead to insulin resistance , which makes eliminating belly very hard to do. What I found helpful in order to get rid of the bulge is to eliminate and or reduce insulin/cortisol raising foods such as stimulants like caffeine, chocolate, sugar(s) , some fruits with a higher glycemic rate and other insulin raising foods such as refined/processed carbs. when your insulin rises, it can become a fat block and even if you were exercising , it still becomes difficult to lose weight.

I have mentioned before in several posts that Dr. Vliet (who specializes in women's health/hormones) has some good info out there in her books and or on the net with regard to women's hormones and the role they play in weight, emotions and just about every aspect of our being.
Check her out.. I found her work very helpful..

P.S. Dr Vliet is out of Scottsdale,AZ...

good luck to you

I just happened to watch Dr. Oz this past week and he has been talking a lot about fat and weight lose. He and a specialist said the Raspberry Ketone supplement is very good at reducing fat cells. A natural supplement to take IN ADDITION to watching what you eat and getting as much exercise as you can might help. You can't expect to lose fat if you are not willing to do work. It takes work to lose weight and don't fall for those gimmicks that suggest you can sit down watch TV and let some "device" do the work for you. Start looking at your diet and cut out the extra sugar, limit the fat and get some form of exercise in. I do squats while brushing my teeth, so you can exercise wherever, whenever.

Hormones play a HUGE role in it. I've had friends who have done The Blue Miracle and lost a ton of weight. All herbal. You have to drink a TON of water to flush everything out. Obviously, eating more veggies and lean meats/nuts throughout the day is helpful.

And, no, this is not my site....but my friends have used it and I will, after I'm done nursing.

Shaklee has a weight management system called Cinch. If followed properly, only fat and not muscle is loss. There is no one, safe pill that will do this.
Dr. Oz does have a lot of good info on his site. But to be at a healthy weight, one must eat properly.
Let me know if you are interested in Cinch.
Good luck and God bless.

Everything reliable that I've heard about weight loss has said that you can't target one specific part of your body, that it comes of where it comes off, and that there is no magic pill. I've also heard belly fat can be caused by stress, so just take the stress out of your life. I know, I'm rolling my eyes too.

My mom has a significant amount of weight to loose, and she has started taking Alli, which is OTC and FDA approved. However, I hear it's quite a laxative so expect to be in the bathroom a lot. I always worry that these pills cause more harm than good.

The "supplemental" Pilates, kick boxing, and proper crunches/obliques until you want to die. Be very careful if you eat anything considered bad (I'm not assuming). Good luck.

I started the HCG diet on Saturday. It's 10 drops under your tounge, 3 times a day and you can only eat certain approved foods. I also read something really interesting this morning that made me decide to stop using Splenda because I had 4 out of five of these symptoms! Bloating and weight gain too! Good Luck!!

Not that I have found. It's all exercise. Don't think you NEED a gym or a lot of time to get started, because you don't. Do you have a couple of five minute chunks of time? I have a staircase workout that takes about five minutes. I have a standing ab routine (crunches are impossible with my kids) the kids actually like doing this one with me. If you have a minute while cooking set a timer for one minute and do jumping jacks. It doesn't sound like much. But every minute you work out it increases your metabolism and that is what truly makes you lose weight. Make little changes in diet. I ate a huge salad almost everyday for lunch for 3 years. if you can't live without fast food, limit it.
I got fat in college. Like 220 fat. Lost most of it by being crazy young always going out dancing, playing a littletoohard on weekends and I had a physically demanding job that could and would last 18-32 hours. But of course all that ended when I got pregnant. Gained 70 pounds with my first pregnancy. Lost 45 when I got pregnant again. Only gained 30 that time. It took about three years to get to 135. Doing all little stuff. I so rarely got in a real work out that I won't even talk about it. Last fall I officially got 8 whole hours to myself a week. I started taken a zumba class once a week. In a month I dropped down to 122 and it has stayed off. You can do it. Try shopping at farmers markets. Cooking with the greatest frestest ingredients will change how you cook. I eat well enough now that I will not feel guilty when I indulge. And I do all the time. It starts with a small change. You can do it. If you want to get those small workouts I do email me. Good luck.
