Were going on vacation during spring break. Were wanting a cabin somewhere in the mountains around the North Carlolina area or about... It would be even better to be able to see some snow. I have never seen it... Any suggestions?
Blowing Rock and the surrounding areas are beautiful. You may be hard-pressed to find snow that time of year, though.
I am not sure when spring break is- i don't keep up on that. However, i have been to maggie valley,nc a couple times. I actually had my honeymoon there-in march (1994). It was the best vacation we have ever ever ever had!!! We stayed in a wood cabin in the mid-mountains. Wow! Maggie valley is about a 40 minute drive thru the mountains to gatlinburg,tn-another great place. We drove back and forth every day. Beautiful place to be. Only thing is is in march there is not much to do in maggie valley. They close the town down due to the season/snow. That is one reason why we spent so much time in tn. So depending on when spring break is...maggie valley is the bomb!! Loved it!

I would recommend Boone, NC and Blowing Rock, NC. There are beautiful cabins to rent and it is truly God's country. There are lots of things to do with the kids. Short hikes in the mountains, bike riding on trails, horse back riding, tubing on lazy rivers, etc. Just enjoy the fresh mountain air, the million star lit sky at night making smores in a fire pit, and taking a relaxing dip in the hot tub at your own rented cabin that has all the luxuries of home. I usually use a website, BlueRidgeRentals.com >Rental Properties>select the # of Bedrooms or Search All Properties or Selected Properties. You'll be amazed at the selections! Enjoy!
