There are two parks/playgrounds in Brandon that I know of. The first is very shaded and quite large. It is on the corner of Bloomingdale and Kings--can't remember the name right now. The second is on Parsons--All Person's Rotary Park--great playground. It has the soft, rubber ground and a gated toddler area.

Hi K. S,

My girlfriends and I just visited a park right off of Parsons Ave, just pass the hospital if you coming off of 60. I forgot the name, but you can't miss it ( it has a rod iron gate around it and it's pretty nice) It has also the foamy floor so they don't get hurt with bathrooms right near buy.

I hope this helps.

All Person's Park is great. It is on Parsons between Lumsden and 60, on the west side of Parsons.

Hi K., there are plenty of parks. The "Tree Park" very shaded and nice, on the corner of Bloomingdale and Kings...there is Lithia Springs, campground, small swimming cool spring and lots of stuff to do, just off Lithia Pinecrest, I'm sure they have a website. There's another park called All Person's on John Moore near Lumsden. At this one there are baseball fields right next door, so they can watch a game also. Another one that we absolutely love is on Miller Road in Valrico, it's right next to an elementary school. You can take 60 towards Valrico, hang a right on Miller and it will be on your left. Its a ways off the road but you can see it from the road. Just past the school. In the summer you definitely should take them to Adventure Island, you can get a yearly pass, you can also take your own cooler of food/drinks in and camp out for the day. Great time! Well, those are my favorites, good luck!

Here are a couple of very nice ones..

All Childrens Park on Parsons Avenue (between 60 and Lumsden - just south of the hospital - probably more for the younger two)

There is a great shaded park on the corner of Kings and Bloomingdale (cannot remember the name - Paul Sanders?)

If you want to drive a little farther - Medard Park on Turkey Creek - take Hwy 60 east to Turkey Creek - turn right and the park will then be on your left. This park has a great playground as well as "hills/mountains" for the kids to climb - your six and four year old will love the mountains - my six year old son loves this park.

Hi K.,
There are a couple parks that my kids like in Brandon - one is All Persons Park on Parsons, just south of the hospital before you get to Lumsden Rd. They also like the "Tree Park" or "Dark Park", can't remember the actual name, but it's on the corner of Kings and Bloomingdale - lots of great climbing trees and very shady all the time (hence the nicknames :). We live in Plant City but are in Brandon all the time - I think you'll like living there! :)

We love the rotary park... You go east on 60 towards Valrico. Turn right on Parsons, and the park will be up on the right. (Incidentally, just before you get to the park, there is a street called "Vondenburg" or something close to that... If you turn right on that street, there is a library. On Tuesdays they have Babytime at 10:00, and toddler time at 10:45, and storytime at 11:15 - we always go to toddler time, and then lots of people who do that wind up going to the park, too. It makes for a fun morning!)

We also really like the park on Bloomingdale and Kings.

Good luck to you as you get settled!
