Yikes! I would join the class action suit. Keep everything on your son's therapy and diagnosis. If you have pictures, keep them.
We purchased a foldable card table and 4 foldable chairs from WalMart in Oct. of 2013. Well, last Sat., while we were preparing for s'mores; my son (6) _literally_ sat down and the chair collapsed. It nearly amputated (doctor notated) his 3rd finger on his right hani AM (writing hand). There is a class action lawsuit underway. I am just wondering if there are any of you who have had such incidents. I can share any information with you and vice-versa, if you'd like. I am just a civilain .. not an attorney or anything else.. I just want to know if anything like this has happened to anyone else,
I reported it like suggested in the responses. Thanks for telling me where to report it. Now, we're just waiting for the orthopedic hand specialist appointment on Thursday to tell us if he's going to need surgery or not.

nope. never had anything like this happen to me or anyone in my family.
Sorry it happened!
Good luck!
Lots of people have.http://www.medicaldaily.com/wal-mart-recall-2014-over-730...
Keep all documentation of medical and business correspondence. I'm sure when you filed paperwork with medical facility... You stated what happened and gave facts per the accident.
Contact the state Cinsumer products complaint department.
Join the class action.
Don't hold your breath for a windfall of cash.
Your insurance, however, could possibly choose to look elsewhere for reimbursements. Expect to have out if pocket expenses and make sure you have a complete document file completely related to this issue alone.
Keep both hard copies, email copies and if on chat with insurance or anyone... Print and save the conversation.
Lastly... Stop shopping Walmart. You get what you pay for. Horrid company!!!
Join the class action suit. You'll get more money that way. That table and chair set wasn't made right and with metal that wasn't strong enough.
If you sue on your own they'll walk all over your attorney's and give you nothing. The class action suit will be won then divided per individual case...someone who actually lost their finger will get more than someone who only got a big cut for instance. But your son should get a substantial amount through this. At least contact them.
You should report it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission as well as to your state's office of consumer affairs.
