Hi M.,
I believe a mixture of paying attention to what you are eating and having exercise is important. There are exercise DVD that you can do at home, park district and fitness center classes near where you live...start simply with the goal of a short amount of time several times a week...
Several members of my household have had success in meeting with local nutrition coach on their eating and exercise patterns (she asks her clients to keep a log of what they are eating and makes suggestions for new choices).
If you are considering joining a local gym, see if they offer babysitting for their members...our local YMCA does this and offers a mixture of exercise equipment and classes.
I gained weight from having 3 kids and didn't lose the weight until I began exercising on a regular basis...started with just the weekends because of being a working Mom and eventually also figured out ways to get exercise on weekdays as they opened a fitness center at my work so I could work out at lunch time several days a week...
I believe yoga brings you body awareness. The dietary coach that my family has used pushes her clients to try boxing classes to burn calories.
I have never heard of Wu Yi tea before and would ask "what are the side effects" because a friend of mine took supplements that have since been pulled off the market because they linked back to heart arrythmias in some of the people who took the supplements.
From a safety point of view, I would work to exercise and modify diet to include more fruits, veggies, whole grain carbs, protein...healthy snacks and consider meeting with someone about your personal eating and exercise plans...I'd also have thyroid tested to make sure you are not hypothyroid as this will impact ability to lose weight.
