I am movein to a new home and the carpet needs to be cleaned really well i need to know if any one knows any good home type cleaning stuff that smells good but gets the carpet clean too.. Some one told me to use red pine sole that it cleans good and makes it smell alot better.. Dogs and cats have used the bath room on it so for my health and my babys it needs to smell better and cleanin real good thanks..
Hi, I have a carpet cleaner and I use bissell carpet sampoo in the red jug for pet oders and the lavender scent is good too they both clean and leave a good smell behind I also have kids and dogs. Hope this helps. M.

Hi H., I would rent one of those rug doctor things from the store; I'm not sure which stores carry them, but I would try Wal-Mart, K-mart, Target or even some grocery stores carry them.
Spot Shot is great. I swear by that stuff.
Simple Green. It is some of the best carpet cleaner there is. It is not made for carpets, but it works and it is not too pricey.

We have a dog also. We got him as a puppy so he has messed on our carpet too and our house was one of the new ones jsut built so there was no grass so everytime it rained people would track red clay on our carpets. We decided to try fabuloso. It smells like lavender and if you add a lil baking soda to it it cleans very well. Our carpet was like a very light white/grey color and it looks like that still with the help of fabuloso! hope that helps!

We used Citrus Solutions when we bought our house. The carpet was clean and smelled really good. We also paid extra and got the scotchgard which has really helped keep it clean. Other than a professional service, I think it would take a really long time to clean an entire house without renting something. For spots we bought a Bissel Little Green Machine.
Nature's Miracle!!!!!!!!! this stuff really is a MIRACLE! I moved into a house that had been smoked in for years. I just couldn't live in it til I got it clean. After a week for spraying the carpet, the smell was GONE! Completly GONE! You can find it at a pet store, I got mine from Pet Smart. It's made to clean pets odors and stains. It's a bit pricy but worth every cent!
Ace Hardware sells are really good carpet cleaner. It's the only one they sell. It may actually be the cleaner that the rug doctor uses.
I think you need to spend a little extra money and rent a Rug Doctor...those things really clean dirty carpet. You can usually rent one from the local grocery store. It's a little extra work for a lot of clean. My carpet at home is very old and I didn't have the money to replace it and when I got pregnant I didn't know what to do. When someone suggested it to me I went right away and rented one and had my husband use it...it was like new carpet!! I hope it works for you too!
