I need help finding soccer leagues and even hockey leagues in Ohio. I have tried several searches for soccer and can't come up w/ anything and don't know anything about hockey (i.e. what age/level... experience??). Just curious if there are any local moms on here!!?

What can I do next?

I'm not sure how far of a drive it is from Columbus, but I know that they have a "Chillers" league for hockey. I looked into it once, but it would have been more driving than we were willing to do.

I don't know how old your kid(s) are, but our school sends home information about different soccer programs - I'm pretty sure there are some churches that offer Upward Soccer programs, too.

Good luck!

I live in California now but I'm from Sunbury. Look into http://www.osysa.com it is South Ohio Youth Soccer. I found the Central Ohio Youth Ice Hockey Officials Association at 20230 Bear Swamp Rd.
Marysville, OH 43040 here is their site http://www.colsicerefs.com also try here. I'll bet they will be able to direct you to who is in charge in your region.
http://www.ccyha.org try this site too.

Start early with the hockey. Contact your local rink and the will tell you their procedures and classes. I live in CA and that is what we did. We only wished that we had started early like three or four years old. The competition is stiff!

I'm in Akron, which is way far from you. I've noticed a real shortage of places to get information on playdate groups, kisd activities, sports, etc. There was nothing in my area when I checked, but you might look on meetup.com. A lot of cities have mom's groups on that site, and you might be able to reach out to women in your exact location for the scoop on local kids teams. Maybe you would call the PE teacher at your local elementary/middle school? If anyone would know, it would be them.
