My daughter is turning 10 and we are taking a small group of girls to Magic Time Machine to celebrate. Does anyone have any ideas on a cute party favor? They are really too old for the typical stuff. TIA.
Wow, I got some really great ideas. So many it was hard to choose. Thanks so much to all you creative moms (I am always needing a little help in that area).

You could take your daughter to Sam Moon and have her pick out matching Necklaces or Bracelts for all of the girls! It's reasonable and they love matching things at that age!!
Good Luck
I know some teens who went out together recently and they all wore matching marti gras beads.
If you only have a limited number of girls - Itunes in a small amount is always a huge hit!
I have a 12 year old and for her 10th birthday we gave really cute Diarys and we had the party at magic Time Machine. For her 12th birthday we gave $5.00 gift cards to Starbucks, which was a huge success.
Good luck.
Make those crazy shoe string flip flops things (and matching bows if they still like that stuff). A friend of mine is doing this for her older daughter. Im sure you can find the stuff at JoAnns or Micheals.

Usually the $1 spot at target has cool things for girls like little bags, cute notepads or picture frames. Lip gloss is always a hit with them as well.

I'm having a party for my soon-to-be 8 year old and instead of gift bags, we are buying grass skirts, leis and flower clips for their hair. You don't necessarily have to buy that type of dress-up stuff, but could do boa's and plastic jewelry or another theme. Little girls love to dress up and go out in public! They like the attention!
Try party city that is where we got all the things for our daughters party!
Make the little purses (scrapbook stores have patterns you can cut out of paper)... and put little make up sample sizes in them... toenail polish, toenail stickers or stencils... little lip glosses...
