I experienced the same situation with our little one when she was an infant. If I wasn't holding her, she wasn't sleeping. It seems like I didn't put her down for the first six months! I highly recommend using an adjustable ring sling. I still use mine everyday and she's almost 2 years old. You can go about your daily routine while your baby is fastened securely to your body. You can even nurse in the sling because it is adjustable. The adjustable ring slings are made to grow with your baby, allowing them to be carried in 5 positions depending on age/size. I was so impressed with the sling I started sewing them for all my friends and their friends. I could rave all day about the sling. I know how much it has helped in my child's development & in maintaining my sanity, allowing me to get things done around the house. It's great for outings too. When you're researching slings, steer clear of the common pouch sling found at most retail stores. These aren't adjustable & let your baby dangle in front of you without being securely positioned against your body. Good luck & I hope this helps. Congratulations on the little one!
