Any Good OBGYNS at St. Judes (Fullerton)? Thanks!

Hi all,
I just had my first appointment with my OB/GYN today and I'm not happy with her. She's inexperienced and didn't spend time to get to know me or explain to me how it would proceed in the follow-up meetings. She didn't show any personality and was not able to counsel. All she did was to ask me a bunch of tests and whether I wanted to have them done. The problem is that she belongs to a group of 6-9 docs! Could anyone recommend an OB/GYN they've had good experience with affliated with St Judes in Fullerton? Thanks so much in advance!

So What Happened?

Thank you moms out there who willingly shared their positive experiences with their OBGYNs! I'm still in the process of doing more research to eventually make a decision. I hope I can find a caring doctor I can rely on and who can guide me well through my first pregnancy!

Hi C.,

Dr. Nancy Towbin delivered my daughter and I absolutely loved her. She was a real calming force when I was nervous about something, took her time with me, and I had all the confidence in the world in her. She is an amazing OB/GYN and I am sure you won't be disappointed. She was associated with St. Jude's when I had my daughter, but that was nearly 8 years ago. Still, she is definitely worth checking out.

I wish you the best of luck, and I'm glad that you are taking steps to get a better doctor. I hope you have a better experience with whichever doctor you choose, and a good delivery!

Dr. Robyn Lawton has an office just down the street from St. Jude and is affiliated with them. She helped me give birth to both my sons (almost 7 and 3). She's experienced and sweet and has three children of her own (although you couldn't tell since she is so petite!). She will listen to you and answer any questions you have. Her office has that "woman's touch" to it and is kid friendly if you have any kids with you on your appt.

Hope you find someone you like. ;o)

i see Buchanan. he is probably in your group. the Medical center for woman. I don't feel a need for my Dr to get to know me, so, I have no idea if he'll work for you in that area. He is very experienced, very relaxed in stressfull times. he has 5 kids. 1 set of triplets. he is very approachable.

I know people like Tobin too, she used to be w/ the same group. but is now right across the street.

good luck

Love, love, love Dr. Henderson. ###-###-####. He, too, is associated with several other doctors in his practice, but I met most of them being in and out of the hospital throughout my pregnancy and liked them all. I ended up having an emergency c-section and although Dr H wasn't on call, he came in to aid in the delivery anyway. I really thought that was cool. Best of luck in your search. BTW - the nurses at St. Jude were awesome, too!
