I am a 31 year old mother of 3 boys(2 of my own and a stepson) Ages 2.5, 11 months, and 8. I am looking for some fun ideas for crafts that I can do with them this summer. Any fun ideas for such an age difference? Thanks.

What can I do next?

Side walk chalk!!!

Poster boards with finger paints.

Baking cookies. Peanut Butter, Sugar Cookies to decorate, Rice Krispy treats.

Buy the cheap ceramic kits and make hand prints or foot prints in them.

Homemade cards for their family members.

Decorating their own blank T-shirts.

The 8 year old can keep everyone focused. The 2.5 year old can fully participate and the 11 month old can make his own precious mess that the 8 year old can help you clean. Or the 8 year old can watch the babies while you clean up.

With side walk chalk a water hose is a VERY fun way to clean up, especially if they are in their bathing suits.

I could go on and on. I can't wait to do all of this with my baby girl!

Making playdo is always a fun thing. You can find recipes for it online. I always end up adding more water than ususal and using cool-aid to colour the playdo instead of food colouring is cheaper. decopage using old gift wraping tissue paper and cut outs from magazines are always fun too. It'a relatively cheap since you can decopage onto anything. I cut cardboard into frames and decopage onto those.

good luck.

Bird house made of popcicle sticks works. They get the treat and when they have enough, you paste them together.

Modle race cars is another idea--you can get at Michael's

I am in the process of getting stepping stone gardening kits (via Michael's) to do with my son's hand prints for my garden, and let him decorate with marbles.......
