We've got tons of blue bonnets around here. Just remember, it's supposed to rain around here for the next week or so, and it's supposed to be cold.
*hugs*
We like to take the grandkids to the hill country to take pictures of the
bluebonnets. With the weather unusually warmer than usual,
I'm guessing the wildflowers will make their debut early
this year. Is there a website that you can check on bluebonnet
sightings? Last year was not a good year for spring flowers
or I just missed it. Thanks for any clues / links.

no bluebonnets around here yet, but I did see a bunch of buttercups yesterday in Fort Worth!!
I am near Waco and we have tons of bluebonnets popping up all over the place.
Haven't seen any yet around here. I can't wait. I love pictures in the bluebonnets ! There are several sights for bluebonnet sightings. Google "texas bluebonnet sightings" and quite a few come up. Have fun !
Just came in from Dallas last weekend, and north of Conroe on the way to Hunstville they are blooming like nobody's business! Thick, lush and the brightest blue I've seen in a long long time.
Oh....it must be so nice to live in a warm state!
How bad is this, I thought you were talking about fake butter. :(
I don't believe I have ever seen them. The flowers that is the fake butter I have seen.
They are in Houston as of last Monday. There should be oceans in all the expected northern locales of the state (from Brenham on up). I hear this year will be a banner year for them. Good luck and happy blue bonnet hunting.
I'm in Austin but saw our first Bluebonnets on the side of the highway last weekend! They are starting to pop up.
Not sure-but you sound wonderful and make me miss my grandparents!
Try this http://www.texasbluebonnetsightings.com/2012-state-of-tex... and good luck!
nope they are just popping out over the last couple weeks. we took a road trip to see the wild flowers. indian paint brushes, yellow, and blue b onnets were just splashed over the fields. it was beautiful. there was also several cars stopped on the side of the road where we saw bald egals and there two babies in a nest. bring binoclhlars!!! we were somewhere near marble falls texas
We have them in Bryan right now, and we are usually a month before the hill country.
TXDot website I think, has wildflower sightings.
