Hello again Moms,
I was very curious to know if any of you have experience with a C-tuck or know of anyone that has? It's basically delivering by c-section and getting a tummy tuck at the same time. I've heard it can be very dangerous BUT that alot of celebrities are doing it to get their tummies slimmer faster.
I'm due to have my c-section April 1st so I wanted to ask my OB about doing this for me but I need as much advice as I can get first.
Thanks so much for any helpful advice!

What can I do next?

When you give birth your uterus is all stretched out and you are swollen. (Think about all of the extra water and hormones you are carrying around) This is not a good time to have plastic surgery.
Also you will have an incision on your uterus- so if you end up having problems from the tuck it could possibly affect your uterus too.
It sounds like a good idea in theory, in fact I would have signed up for a boob job and a hysterectomy with my last child- but waiting is better.

I have heard this, too. Honestly, it seems like an easy way out & a whole lot to go through just to get a flat tummy instantly. Plus, would you really want to take such a risk just after delivering your child? I vote no-it just doesn't sound safe. Best of luck with that baby.

Hey!! I am a HUGE fan of any plastic surgery--I got breast implants when I was 25--but I would never let an OB/GYN do this to me unless he/she was also a plastic surgeon. And I don't even think they will. However--if yours is--I'd go for it!! My tummy has never been a problem area for me after kids (no stretch marks or bulges) but I'd like to have lipo done on my thighs (cellulite) right after my baby is born! There is probably no way my doc would agree!! :) Good Luck!

The idea sounds AWESOME! But... I've read that any reputable doctor would not perform the double procedure and that it is too dangerous for the mom. Your muscles are too stretched out and need time to heal. There is also a higher risk of infection. I think the celebrity getting tummy tucks with their c-sections is more of a rumor.

Congrats on the new baby in April! I have a new one coming in August!
