Does anyone know how much a vasectomy costs?

I don't have personal experience (yet!), but I was recently reading an article about this and they said the cost is around $1,000 and the procedure can be done in about 15 minutes. Be sure you want it to be permanent though, because reversing them is between $10,000-$20,000 and is a 4-hour procedure, yikes!

It really depends on your insurance coverage...we did it and there is nothing like not having to worry about getting prego...We have two kids...an 8 yo boy and a strong willed and highly independent 3 yo girl (which is why I'm too busy to want another)! Good luck you can call the insurance to see what percentage they cover for a Vasectomy!

My husband got it done 4 and a half years ago and it was the best decision ever!!! NO MORE WORRYING!!! Our insurance paid for everything. All we had to pay was the co-pay.
He was a little hesitant at first with the whole "Manhood" thing, but got over it once I told him that we would have no more loving if he did not get it! He got it done right after I had our third child and we recovered together for six weeks!!

That depends on your insurance. My hubby had it done and I believe we did pay the co-payment of $20 - but that is it! Including the lab costs.
